Several things to make out that this is a joke.
First off:
The link leads to KI, not POL itself.
PoL's own site sais nothing about it.
Secondly:
Take a good read, loads and loads of spelling errors.
Would a multi-million dollar company like SE permit so many if not any spelling errors in their announcements?
I didn't think so.
Lastly:
If they really were gonna do this, don't you think they would make an ISO of some kind for the PS2 players?
It would be rather unappreciative to what I think still is the largest FFXI playerbase.
