*scratches her head, considering it for a moment* I don't think it'd be controversial to post this, so here it goes. :oops:

If you were a total nutcase like me, you'd look up "Arabian names" just because the new FFXI expansion is in a place called the Near East and you wanted something appropriate to call your character's new Puppet. :D

Here's an excellent link I found, for all those that are interested. :)

Other useful sites, best used after you've read about Arabic Naming Practices in the above link:

There are many middle eastern countries that still use arabic names for new borns eg: Turkey, Bulgaria etc

So if you know anything about middle eastern names you can always just use them ^_^;

Cool, I could just use my real name... :P

Nah, that'd feel akward.

If the puppet naming process is anything like wyvern naming process then you'll only get a choice of names to pick one from, no creating your own name unfortunately :P

If it's like the Drg quest:

You find a puppet egg.

This Dhalmel(Elvaan) turns into a puppet.

You fight this huge puppet in order to become a puppetmaster.

:o You get to name your puppet?

Somehow I don't think so.

I don't think so, either, it was just fanciful, wishful thinking. ;)

Came up with a "Near Eastern" (meh, Arabic) name for Althaia, too. ;) ...it was fun, okay?? :lol:
