DONT EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER GO TO OKINAWA (cry) I have to quit FF not because i want to. I had finnaly got over my last char getting deleted, and I finnaly started having fun in the game again. Sadly as a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps I make about 600 dollars every two weeks. Well im having problems with the jackasses that work on the cable company. They keep sending me bills with the internet price rising. First it was 100 dollars just to get it installed. Then they send me a bill a DAY before cutt off saying i need to pay 72 Dollars by tommorow (they are only open during my own working hours so i have to go on the weekends) or the shut off my internent. This has happened every friggin month. And despite my complaints they do it every month. So im just tired of dealing with them, and getting my service cutt off. And im not heading back to the states until next year so looks like im off FF for good.

hmm, change isp's. ffxi DOES work well on dial up, so that is an option if nothing else

yeah ill miss you too keavy. You were like the only person that kept being my freind deispite all the events that happened in the past. I just wish there were a way I could continue.

hahahahahaa. After giving them a cursing and ass chewing of the century (which i was shocked myself as to how bad I could curse someone out) They realized they made a horrible mistake. Looks like ill be playing FF still (/cheer). Sometimes this little kitty has to get mean. Raawwrrr

Okay I got a phone call from them (just as I got my handy dandy M203) and this is exactly how it went:

Me: Hello?

CCB: This is the Mediadi cable company, responding to your message

Me: Yes. Why did you guys cutt off my internet after I paid you?

CCB: We didnt recieve your payment until today.

Me: But i mailed it in the drop box like you requested. After all, you did send the bill the day before Cuttoff.

CCB: Im sorry sir, thats not our fault. We mailed it the first week of March.

Me: So its my fault then?

CCB: No sir. But we cannot control the Post office.

Me: So why did I get the Cutt off bill, and STILL havent recieved the orignal bill?

CCB: Im sorry sir but, we sent it out.

Me: Fine. F*ck it. But still, this has been going on every month. WHY havent you guys sent me the bill?

CCB: Sir whether you recieve the bill or not, you should KNOW that what the monthly fee is, and send it before cutt off.

Me: Id do that but your foregetting something (<<< is very pissed at that moment) IVE NEVER RECIEVED A FRIGGIN BILL. Every month Ive been cutt off. How am I supposed to know how much to pay.

CCB: When you first sign up we tell you the price.

Me: Yes. You told me it was $39.48 a month. Yes right now your charging me $78.56.

CCB: Well sir, your paying for the re-installment as well.

Me: IT WOULDNT OF GOT RE-INSTALLED IF YOU HAD SENT THE BILL.

CCB: Im sorry sir, but there is nothing we can do about that.

Me: FINE. how long before my sh*t gets turned back on.

CCB:Next Monday.

okay. Okay. Once again after spamming them with calls. They turned it back on today. I hope this prob never occurs again. Heck Ive lost so many hours gaming, I gotta make them up

Why do they treat you like that? Because they can. Because they make money doing it. All those extra "re-connection fees" add up.

Anyone else on your base have these problems? Could this be a corprate scam? Does the AJ's office investagate scams against service members?

You could do a LOT more damage to them with a nice investagation than with an M203.

M203's are not fully automatic unless you wanna carry a mark-19 around those are Fun and Exciting

i got an idea for you, use online billpay if you have it from your bank. if they insist on sending you the bill 1 day before its due, then pay it online instantly when you get it the day before its due. automatically, just set it up to do that and you should be fine.

I wish i could do that. But they dont allow that. Just checks, cash, or money order. Really giving me alot of options there

More and more this is sounding like a corporate scam. Talk to other internet users at your base. Is this happening to them?
