I've been messin' around with mIRC, but I can't figure out how to connect the Pride channel. Can someone walk me through it?

Hmmm. I didn't know we had an IRC channel. Not that I know anything about IRC, it's just that maybe the LS leaders should post all of the resources that are available to us. I know about Swipe's Crystal Recipes site, but I wonder how many others do.

Remember kitties, new people join our LS often. Let's post some sticky topics about what we got! 8)

when you load up, if you go straight to console (ie just the text entry, not the usual pop-up boxes) just type /server irc.esper.net and then after you join register your nick with nickserver, learn how to use it by typing /msg nickerv help, after that join our channel by typing /join #mithrapride

Okay, first here's all the servers if you need 'em: http://www.esper.net

Most IRC clients work about the same. I use Bersirc or Icechat because my dad has a...thing with mIRC. (He won't let it on his comp)

Okies. (Bear in mind I'm using Beirc for this tutorial. it's closest to mIRC)

Go to config (at least on bersirc and I think mIRC...) You want IRC servers. Hit Add or Add Server. Put what ever description you want (I'd say Esper) in Server Description. Server name is what the server name is (like irc.esper.net) For your first time, I'd say irc.esper.net would work, though I like neskaya.esper.net . Leave the port alone and you don't need a password. Ignore those. Then hit Okay. Now find the server you want and double click on it. Hit connect. There you go.

Now, to join MP. Just type /join #mithrapride then strike thy enter key and close the window that pops up. (never mind the censor bar, I'm hiding my nick password) Then it's chat time  Here's a screenshot of the chatroom. I had screwed up on a command just then: I'd tried /give Kopopo a soda, that's why the program went huh? The command to do that (it's the same as /em in FFXI) is /me k?
