So... Kazham is definitely NOT the homeland of the Mithra.

The last paragraph of the Vana'diel Tribune's article 'Vana'diel Profiles: Jakoh Wahcondalo, Heroine of the High Seas' wrote:After assuming the position of Chieftainess, Jakoh used her ngotiating skills and the intelligence gathered by her pirate allies to vastly improve Kazham's economic standing. She transformed what had previously been an isolated settlement into an independent power that demanded the respect of the Mithran homeland to the south, and the nation of Windurst to the north. Romaa Mihgo's faith in her chosen successor had proven to be well placed.
Now, I may have simply missed where, elsewhere, it said that the Mithran homeland was to the south of Kazham, but I certainly didn't miss that! Quite interesting, no? I wonder if the Mithran homeland will be revealed in an future expansion....

Yep about 6 months ago therrre was another article saying it was in the south and Kazham was just an outpost.

It also said that the lost Galkan capital city was to the south as well. The "south" is where the Damas ignot and cloth all come frrrom.

The next expansion is set to be in the near east... stuff like cashmere wool comes frrrom there.

I read that they were adding a Mithran homeland in the new expansion as a completly new area. Along with the far east, near east and a couple others. If I find anything else out I will let everyone know.

I wonder if the new city announced is the home of the kitten actually.

I'm likely wrong, but it would be awesome.

The new city is supposed to be the capital of Aht Urhgan, which is not our homeland, but Tenzen's (I think~ could be wrong about that lol).

I'll have to find it but I think its mentioned in an article (somewhere) that Mithra are from the continent of Mindartia.
The Empire of Aht Urhgan dominates the Aradjiah Continent, a landmass found east of Mindartia.
Above quote is from the ToAU website

I do remember starting the Tuning Up Quest in Windy and the Drk Mithra saying that she'd "travelled all the way from my homeland in Mindartia to talk to you, shrimp" so there's that too.

Yeah that would be nice, but it might decrease the mithra presence in Windurst. All the players would hangout there, argh. Wouldn't be fun for Windurst!

So is there a map of what the world will look like once they add in the new continent?

I've also always wondered what the world map looked like before Zilart lands were added too.

Mmmmm...Tenzen....*swoon* Oh uhm...we..were...talking about... HOME! I personally would love be able to get to, or know where the Mithran homeland is. I hope these rumors are true about it being in the new expansion. Thanks for posting those quotes sisters, now I have a better understanding of my kin. :) Heeeyy... ya think that's where the BOY kitties arre??? :?: I never did see a male mithra.

The Quest is called Tuning In, which is unsuprisingly followed with a quest called Tuning Out.

Correct me if im wrong.. but arn't all the mithra sin-hunters Dark Knights?

Aaah thanks Khavi, its been awhile and I didn't bother to check my quest log to get the correct name.

And....

appears I was wrong in my earlier post. Mindartia is the continent windy is located on. not the original one of the Mithra.

I'm just a bit embarassed now, I don't even know the contitent my home nation is on.

Surprised no one else caught my mistake :P

I'm going to go take a bubble bath and sulk. /fume

That's simple. Take the current world map and cover up Elshimo and Kuzotz islands and Sky.

If you read the manual it says that the males never adventure out from their homes, this being their home so technically if you invade their houses you should see them  I doubt SE will put them in though, ah well ^^

I can see the new, mithra-only quest: "Breedin' Season"...

Oh YEAH!!! I'll be invading their homes all right! Who's with me sisters? *wonders who the NPC for quest: Breedin' Season will be... I bet it'll be in Kazham
Furthermore... I wonder WHY they never leave their homes... Could that comic be right? :?

Hehe burried in the sand, yeah don't go near those worms :P

They must feel threatened by the females being all dominant, or possibly nagged into submission

We keep them locked up.. i mean at home for a reason..

There are so few of them to go around now that it would be a horrible tragedy if one of them was out there swinging a sword and critically missed and lobbed off thier second tail. We need all the breeding slaves.. i mean men as we can get.

I figured it out.

Why the males are rarely seen, that is.

They're all healing. Mithra-sex (aka Snusnu) is so violent that the males usually end up all clawed and (possibly) infected.

They stay in bed, heal up, go at it, and the cycle perpetuates.

God bless Vana'diel.

They have jobs and subjobs, and can use abilities of both, including two hours. one is a drk/drg (wyvern and all) another is thf/bst....I can't remember what the last one is.

Rather then speculations of kitty snusnu, I have something else we can toss about. The name of the Mithran Homeland. My belief? It's named Tsahya.

I make this guess based off of this mask I saw on this page. I mean, come on, how many nations are they gonna stick in the south?

I may be wrong but the Empire Aht Urhgan has a female leader right? The Empress? :?: Maybe my head is confused but I think thats what the thing said on SE. (Mithra Empress would rule, litterally..)

{Hmmm.} My gut instinct tells me Aht Urhgan is not the homeland of the Mithra. If it were, all those pictures of Blue Mages would have alot more Mithra in them....

No, they're adding a few new lands. At -least- three to my knowledge. Aht Urhgan, Homeland of the Gigas, Homeland of the Mithra.

to my knowledge aht urghan is not the mithra homeland.the mithra homeland is farther south of kahzam.least as far as i know anyways.

I am betting that Treasures is not the last expansion of FFXI. I would not be surprised if the expansion after ToAU has the Mithran Homeland.

its official, the expansion ships april 18th

i'm also inclined to think that the mithra homeland will have a setting similar to kahzam, only more expansive and cool looking than the predecessor.

Perhaps its the city of Mamook in Mamool Ja that will be what im looking for.. dunno until i get the expansion and play
