Problems with Xbox 360

I don't know how many people have it, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

I picked up a magazine from a local shop over the weekend, but when I tried to install it, it would get to the point it should update itself and then crash/exit saying I didn't exit properly. Has anyone else heard of this problem?

If it matters, I'm running 1080i Widescreen. I know the early version of POL could only handle certain resolutions on the PC, so who knows what could set it off this time. -.-

I would suggest that you try different resolutions. Other possibile things could do with too little information left on your hard drive...

or you were too stupid to purchase the premium package. Either way, try different things. Otherwise, you might want to try to borrow a disc from a friend.

Fiye, there is NO preimum package for the disk.

And the X360 in its most basic form is suposed to support the game.

It can't install without the hard drive.

yep, the hard drive isn't standard.... It's the main difference between the standard package and the premium package. The standard package uses flash memory cards, the premium package has the hard drive.

yeah

$299 NQ package wired controlers and no HD (cant play FFXI or X-box)
$399 HQ package wirless controlers and HD (can play FFXI and x-box)

yeah thats right yo have to have the HD to play the old X-box games too...because MS is greedy and made it that way -.-

they could have placed the HW in the system like Sony does so you dont need an HD to hold the emulater, but of course then they could not make more money so.......

Just.... wow. :o

Not what one would expect frrrom a current generation platform.

Originally the package with the HD was going to be standard everywhere (Like it is in Japan) but some of the executives worried that people may not be willing to pay that much so the cheaper alternative was made.

You can still buy the items that the Normal package lacks but in the end, it is cheaper to buy the Premium package.

Need to download the emulator(s) for the games onto the HD hence you need it to play old XBox games :P

In the long run emulators are cheaper and more reliable.

After all, even though the PS2 has the PS1 hardware in it there are still problems (Like the glitch that makes it so you have to reload the save screen multiple times in FFV to get it to display.)

So far I don't hear anyone complaining about how you're gonna have to buy flash memory and download emulators to play older Nintendo games on the Revolution. Oh, wait...I forgot...Fanboys love Nintendo. My bad.

Yes, I have the premium system with the hard drive. When I tried to install the first one, my xbox live profile was corrupted. I think this may have something to do with why nothing works now. I restored the profile from online, but something isn't working, and I dunno what. :/
