question about Maat

I know its a long ways away for me but...
In the RDM Maat fight, would it be possible to Dispell Maats Chainspell?

i don't think so, since it's a job ability, not a buff.

I'm not sure if it would even be worth trying. While you try to cast dispel he'll be nuking you for everything he's worth. Best suggestion I've heard is when you see him use his chainspell, use yours and sleep him. Then give him every painless debuff in the book and keep him asleep until your chainspell wears off.

I am thinking i need to write some macros to do that!! A "Kill Maat" Macro of sorts!!!
What debuffs are painless as in not waking???

No. Chainspell is a Job Ability, not a Buff/Song/Spell.

sleep, paralyze, slow, bind, blind, gravity, absorb-stat, are the ones i can think off the top of my head.
pretty much any spell that lowers a stat without dealing HP/MP damage or DoT (Damage over Time) so Dia, Bio, Poison, Burn, shock, frost, choke, rasp, drown, drain are no-nos
