Ok, I think I can offically say someone is out to get me.

As I would discover today, I am unable to connect to irc.esper.net. Why you ask (Though most of you probably don't particularly care)? I have no idea.

To investigate the issue, I opened my status window, only to discover this:

Fun, isn't it? I finally get to use IRC for something only to get banned for it for no reason. I've only logged into MithraPride three times >< I mean... 3 fricken days is all I had. What on earth could I have done...?

Well, I email kline@esper.net like I was supposed to, and now I await an answer. -.- in the mean time, Starlight will not be in IRC. As my luck holds, I can predit that I will not be allowed to return -.-; so thank you to Firemyst and Ramza for making me feel like I actually belonged somewhere...

I'm offically confused... For some reason, I can now access irc.esper.net again -.- the heck is going on...?

Probably you got the same IP address as somebody who raised enough of a fuss on esper.net that they banned the IP from the servers completely. And then you got a different IP.

Judging from the netmask, you're on a broadband connection, so it's a fair bet.

Possibly, though I'm not entirely sure. The only way to reset the IP Address on a broadband connection is to reset the router. During the whole time I was on the AKill list, the router was never reset, so the IP Address was the exact same when it let me on. confused am I...

Ah well... Here's hoping it never happens again.

...ok, note to self. Wishing myself good fortune about not being AKilled again is a bad idea -.- 'cause I am, yet again, on the list...

it can be. There are 2 parts. IP and ISP. If an ISP Kline is done that can cause severe problems for others who have a similiar IP/ISP aswell

Got an e-mail from Klein, the guy that apparently runs irc.esper.net, about the ban. I sent him the info and asked what the deal was.

Apparently, I was banned for being involved in a cross-channel "skit" that annoyed many people in the channel.

First off, if this is the case, how the hell did I do it? Does this even make sense to anyone?

He also said he lifed the ban, yet the ban remains in effect -.- I swear to god that somone is setting me up
