Fish for...dirt? o.o

It would seem the price of tricolored carp on my server is a whopping...300 gil per stack, considering they sell for about 50 gil to a npc vendor doesn't make a least bit of sense. Singles selling for roughly 20-30 gil makes even less sense...can anyone comment on the tricolored carp prices on their server?

I get the feeling its not just me here... @.@

I know that Forest Carp can be used for the Lu Shangs quest now... Do tri-colored work as well?

Depends on where it can be bought. Maybe no one is making any money selling stacks of it anymore, possibly because of an increase in PC fishing on your server. Sounds like it's all supply and demand, plus the feeling that one might actually be helping another by selling their fish for less in the AH rather than selling to an NPC and having the fish disappear into nothingness.

For example, scrolls of Bind and Blind in the San d'Oria AH on Alexander can sell for a whopping 10 gil, but merchants will buy them for roughly 30-60 gil, so why sell in the AH? Well, if someone's buying, then they're most likely getting use out of the item. Same might apply to tricolored carp.

I have not found a single use for tricolored carp.... except selling them to npc's for about 52 gil.

^^I wish one could de-synth scrolls to get the parchment back from the numerus bind and blind scrolls i squeeze outta the orc mesmerizers in Ghelshba outpost, I would be a billionare. Heh, feed them to my moogle 3000 copier machien and make that one scroll of Phalanx many and woo hoo for sure.
