my ranger is currently lv68
me and my friends been camping this bow.. for almost week now..
getting really annoyed T_T 0/6 no drop..
last 3 pops.. camped for 2days.. still no drop..
luckily no1 died on camping..

i was wondering.. can u guys share me some info about this mob?
T_T some ppl told me
place holder is.. Shepher.. some say merchanary...
and some says 100% drop when ranger dies...
respawn time is 2~8hrs.. or what nots...
i really dont know what to believe.. T_T

According to all FFXI sources I've checked, he is a lottery pop from any kind of goblin in the spawn area. A lottery pop is not a timed pop but the % chance of him spawning increases with each goblin you kill.

The Bow is not a 100% drop. It's a random drop, but from what I've gathered, it is not an extremely rare drop (like leaping boots or monster signa is). My advice is to keep trying.

I'm 3/3 on helping ppl get the drop.

Got mine on the first try, we weren't even going to kill him, we were in the area killing the scorpion NM for a venemous claw, and the wyvern NM for a ninja in my ls to get his ungur boomerang. And on our way to the rock that we were planning to kite the scorpion around, was the Wyvernpoacher, we made quick work of him, and got my O-bow.

Just seems you're having bad luck, the drop isn't that rare... but then again Moldavite earring isn't a rare drop and I went 1/13 on that one.
