Affiliate LS maybe?

Hey, I'm Eviticus' friend (he introduced me to the game, and actually let me use his account for a while when deciding if I want to subscribe) and it's been a topic of discussion for a while that we can't ever chat with people on his ls. I'm an Elvaan, and our other mutual friend, Than, is a hume.

One idea that Than had was to create an affiliate group, for everyone who wanted to be in Mithra Pride but couldn't because of racial reasons. I think it's a good idea overall, really, and was wondering how you other kitty cats felt about such an idea, since you apparently get frequent requests for perls from people who can't join.

So, I propose a logical solution to an ongoing problem and I get a sarcastic, rude comment. I was under the impression your group was formed to help people, not to be arrogant. I'm hoping this doesn't represent the general populace in the group?

Hmmm... I found it rather funny.

Besides, if we do make humour like such, it's generally all in good fun, and has nothing to do with being rude and arrogant. I think you need to read a few more posts before you go judging like that.

It was a joke, I wasn't trying to be rude. As you can see, I used the neutral, non-rude font. ;)

I suppose variations could include MithraPrideFanClub, IHeartMithraPride or ISignedUpForMithraPrideAndAllIGotWasThisLousyLinkshell. I'm not sure what the linkshell max name length is though, so maybe not the last one.

By the way, I think it's a great idea if that's what you and other friends of MP would like to do. :)

I thought it was funny.

OK, how about MithraAllies, MithraAuxularies, or MithraFriends? I don't think MithraGroupies will do.... Or would it?

I dropped by Sanzou's workplace and talked with her a bit about this, and we have come up with a solution of sorts. On Cerberus a while back, there was a girl named Lilwolf who wanted to merge her LS with ours. But that was unable to happen because there were all races in her LS.

As a solution, I think that the official Cerberus MP Affiliate LS will be her LS, 'WolfPack'. I will be getting in contact with Lilwolf and upgrade my pearl to a sack if she will let me. I will try to talk with her quite a bit and see what we can do.

I have been in Wolfpack a bit, and they remind me much of MP in that they are all very helpful and cheery people. ^.^ Except they do not have a Markov to kick around. Anways, I do not see how 2 LS's becoming sister shells, yet seperate, would be a problem. The Mithra Only rule of MP would be satisfied, and those wanting to join MP without being Mithra will still get as close as they can while observing the rules.

Does this sound like a reasonable idea?

Hmm...the only problem with that would be what would more people decide on staying in? Would the mithras from the pride join and stay in the other shell, or would they spend an (at least) equal amount of time in the pride. I'm just worried that if those shells are created we might lose members to the "sister" shell.

I'm Eviticus' friend
So that must mean you live on the Illinois side of the St. Louis metro area.

Yes, Illinois ^^

I think to keep the intregrity of MithraPride, any sister LS should exclude MP members, moderators of each server as an exception(should something arise where communication between the two would be needed). I would feel awful if a sister group were to draw members away from MP. Such an act would betray the idea of a sister group. =P

When talking with Eviticus, I really liked the idea of WolfPack. MithraPrideFanClub and IHeartMithraPride were also really nice ideas, but WolfPack is already out there and will save some gil ^^

MP on Phoenix has a Mithra Only JP sister linkshell called "MithranNest" We worked together pretty well, however their LS has gotten really small and we don't see much of them anymore. :/

dont take it too seriously. We are cats and we enjoy having fun. Which is why we are all happy all the time. which is why we have a successful LS. but its not a bad idea having a Sister LS.

Good tip: don't drag on an argument when the original two have dropped it. There's no more point in making comments about it since it's pretty much been explained already. It's off-subject anyway.

At this point, I guess we just need to wait for the WolfPack person to pop up again. ^^

Midgard MP has had various 'linkshell alliances' in the past. We don't have one currently, but work sometimes with CTY on quests/missions.
