Has anyone seen a nation take over the area land on their doorstep? has anyone seen this actually being done?

Yep .... two weeks ago on Alexander Windy held Ron ... but Sandy was still in first. :P

Windy came very close to getting Ron as well on Phoenix. It takes alot of mules to pull it off though or a slew of clueless Sandy Oreos.

Ron is a hot spot for people leveling new jobs. I think the Dark and Fire crystal drops is why people level in Sandy. So, during an event (like the eggs) Windy attacked and won. Too bad Saruta and Gusta are not hot spots to level in or I might have a chance to do a SQ done there. What can I say ... people can't stay away from Sandy.

I want to live to see the day that Sarutarubaturaartarutarubatura land gets owned by the Oreo brigade from sandy :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

There should be an event to get Ownage of those areas gets you a cash reward, and if your side get owned they get no reward.

Wow....Never seen anything like that on Siren....Sarutabaruta, Ronfaure and Gustaberg have always been in their own nation's firm control.

I wonder what sort of "in-game" campaign would be needed to wrest control of these areas away from their rightful owners.

I think you can use Garrisons and Expendiary Forces to get a good amount of influence in backyard regions. Of course, you'd probably have to do this consistently throughout the week to counter the amount of locals leveling low-level jobs with their Signet.

mission take over, bastok did it to Saru on phoenix awhile back, and they got it...the next day windy had well over half the bar again so yeah...

The way you do it well...first you have to get a lot of people together on low lvl jobs from a country...all the same...then....you lvl up like no tomorrow in 1 place tell your country owns it

also, get a flag and a star globe in your MH if possible, it actually increases point gain noticably.

Three weeks ago, Windy took Ronfaure in Cerberus. In retaliation, the following week Sandy took Sarutabaruta. Windy also took Zulkheim that week. This week, things returned to normal...

Sorry, no. Garrisons AFAIK don't do anything to your control in the region. And if they did, you'd have to own the region to do a garrison there ^^

Secondly, you cannot EF the newbie regions.

Side note, only time I've seen the newbie zones outside of their capitial's control on Midgard is at the end of launch week. Saruta and Ronfaure fell to the beastmen!

Yay Bastok! ^^

Heh, yeah that's was before they inacted the new rule saying that players under lvl 5 cannot effect the conquest rating.

I have often thought about strategic powerleveling, just never to take over a newbie zone.

So go with a large handful of friends, level on EMs and better from 5 till you run out of EMs. Change jobs, Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

Yeah, basically you would get 20 people to make Sandy Oreo mules. Level them to 20 the week before. When the next conquest week begins you would take the lvl 20 mules to Ghelsba Outpost with a WHM with Raise. Just die to the orcs there and get raised over and over again with Signet on until you delevel to 5.

Then you take your 20 main (windurst) character there and level from 5 onward with signet on until you gain control of the area. It's do-able, you just need a large group of people to pull it off.

I remember that, But then they changed it to dying than lvl 5 has no effect on Conquest of the area. If this wasn't the case then West altep, Rolenberry, Sarumange, and Battalia downs would always be beastmen controlled. (Warp 0) :)
