Mog House Questions

Hi everrryone! I was just glancing through the gallery, and I saw a few shots of Karou's Mog House. Mine is minimally decorated, given the fact that my home town is Windurst, but I've been spending most of my time in San d'Oria through Valkurm.

Anyway, I noticed she had some pots sitting on top of dressers and this image:

Which has a table top full of... well, junk. :P I was wondering how you get those things on tabletops and dressers, and what kind of benefits you can get through your Moogle with furnishings? I know about the Mog Safe quests using beds, but I've only heard about Moogles writing spells on desks or watering plants. I don't know anything about that stuff, but I'm really interested. I'm going to try to spend more time near the hometown, so I'm hoping to invest some time into my Mog House. Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated! :)

Junk? *twitches*

each item has an elemental property and gives certain moghancments, i have MogHancment: Fishing, i fish up le4ss items then fish, others are moghancment Desynthasis and so forth

you can get Moghancment Gardenning

and i use the layout function and drag the pots and my "junk" on the tables :P i dont know too much into it as fishing is my craft, tho i have water enegry and it reduces crystal failure thru water crystal crafting

Well, I didn't mean to imply it was unsightly... just that my table is bare... kinda boring to look at. :P I wasn't sure if Moogle put those things you have on the tabletop to use in creating items through your Mog House, or if it's just decoration, or something else?

Yes, there are some mog house furnishings that can be placed on top of tables. That one is probably the Tea Set.

You can really go hog wild decorating your mog house if you can afford it, and all the space things take up. You get storage space back, true, but that's only accessible in your home city. Here's the full list:

This is my mog house, about a month ago. You can see the holiday Christmas trees and my Stationery Set on the workbench.

It is a bit strange, but my stationary set won't go on my workbench. Even with rotating it.

I thought I needed a desk or something.

I use a PC AirFlow controller... it's a good idea, if they wouldn't use cheap fans. I had to take it apart after a month to clean out all of the fins that had fallen off the fan base because they were rattling around inside and stopping the fan. Now there's ONE fan blade on there. I don't feel like I got my $25 worth. :P

Anyway, since I won the Alexander MP Naked Mithra Race, I'll look into a few Mog House enhancements. :D

You use a Playstaion controller on a PC too! Must be a rarity, I love using my Dual Shock controller hooked into my PS2 to USB adapter.

Fishing MogHance increases the chance to pull up items when fishing. Elemental MogHance reduces the chance of loosing items when you fail and are using the crystal of that element. Special case is lightning. If you have MogHance: Lightning then when you DEsynthisize something, you get NO benifit from your MH. There is a separate MogHance: Desythisis which helps in those cases. However if you use the lightning crystal to sythisize something (good example is maple sugar from maple logs) then you would get the benefit as normal.
