You Know You Play Too Much FF XI When...

You know you play too much FF XI when you find yourself saying:

"{Pencil} -- {Do you have it?} {Can I have it?} {Reward} {Food}." in a class.

You know you play too much FF XI when you come home from a long vacation, all your plants are dead, and your initial reaction is, "MY MOOGLE LET MY PLANTS DIE!"

Or in my case, you know you play too much FF XI when your parking garage is all the way at one end of campus, and you wonder why you can't get a {Teleport-Dormitory} from one end of campus to the other.

There are other ones I could think of if given the time, I'm sure.

You know you play too much FF XI when you eat something and wonder what stats it'll increase, and how long the food effect will last for.

You know you play too much FF XI when you have dreams about it.

Come to think of it, I'll have to write those up. One of them was so hilarious, I woke myself up laughing.

You know you play too much FF XI when you go to the gas station and tell someone, "I need to put some gas into my chocobo, and then I can take off."

<-- made the slip-up of doing that the other day.

When you try to take screen shots of nice scenery or your friends.
When you /panic (I have done this).
When you wish you could macro your daily tasks.

Or when you're not on the game, you move your mouse pointer to one end of the monitor or the other to get the entire screen to move, then wonder why it's not working.

There's a road up on the way from Tucson to Phoenix called Battaglia Road. It's in the middle of a hilly, desert-y kind of area that looks -- yes -- like Batallia Downs. I just noticed this one of the last times I drove up to Phoenix.

So amidst all the hills and sparse plants and whatnot, I start looking for a backbone rising into the sky and/or an entrance into the Eldieme Necropolis.

I always have fun driving from Tucson to Phoenix because of it.

You know you play too much FF XI when you see some scenery in real life that reminds you of something in the game, and you say, "Gee, this place looks like West Ronfaure/Batallia Downs/Beaudicine Glacier, etc..."

you know you play to much ffxi when...

-go to lunch and cant deside between a grilled tarutaru burger, or fried chocobo.

-wonder which equipment slot your jacket would fall into

-consider the game to be reality, and life a fantasy (done that)

-wake up and wonder where your tail and ears went (also did that)

-dream about being in game as your character, so realisitic that the only way it doesnt match reality is when you see your linkshell chat appear in your chat log, but god you wish it was real (did that waay to many times)

.... when you wonder how much exp the neighbors dog will give you and what dificulty rating it is

.... when you team up with some neighborhood kids to find out

.... when you realize there is no "cure" spell and definately no "raise"

so you decide not to do anything but tease it from the otherside of the fence...,,,... meow

--- You start using your favorite AH Gil making ploys on Ebay.

But when they work, you think perhaps you haven't been playing enough FF at all....

Or when you start actually saying emotes:

"So then he told me to shut up, and I was all like, slash cry."
"Yeah, so anyways, I was in class, and it was really boring. I looked at the teacher like slash sigh..."

I was doing that up at my friend's house over the weekend. We are so pathetic.

It's ok, Sarah, I do that with my friends as well. We also say W-T-F and things like that. I even said it front of my parents once ><

I say either "WTF" or "Whiskey tango foxtrot?" or the ever-popular "charlie foxtrot" to describe a situation gone totally awry:

"Man, when I was fighting that whole train of citadel bats last night -- God, talk about a charlie foxtrot."

You know you play too much FFXI when...

... you wonder what you would get from farming the squirrels and chipmunks in your yard.

... you look up at a full moon and have an unresistable urge to craft something.

... you can't get the friggin San D'Orian bagpipe music out of your head.

You look at a friend of yours and think, "He/she would make a great *insert name of FF XI job or race here*."

when you sneak up behind your friends, poke them in the back, and shout "SATA VIPERBITE!"

When you wonder why your apartment's a mess, and start looking for your moogle.

When you wonder if you'd get fired for casting Firaga in your office... on your boss... during a performance review.

(I do leatherworking and arrowsmithing in real life)
When you make arrows and leather goods in real life...
..and wish you really could do it with crystals.
..and wonder why you're skill isn't improving.
..and wonder how much material you'd loose if you mess up the synth.

LMAO

I do a bit of clothwork (weaving) in real life. I have a bunch of crystals around the house. I sit here and wonder, "If I combined this crystal with this thread, what would happen?"

Or if you do gardening and add a crystal to your flowerpot, then wonder what the outcome will be.
