LMAO...wish I had your condition >.> I do so much initial damage to the mobs (I am the main targeter in my shell) that they stick to me alot of the time. The tanks and mages finally got used to my methods, lol, but it wasn't uncommon for me to die 10+ times each run due to just too much dmg output. (and I say this like its a bad thing >.>)

I've been in a few Dynamis's, and my problem is I treat it like a party. Engage, jump, high jump. Mob decides to 2hr and kills the tank...since I've hit it 3 times already it turns to me now. ;_; I need to learn to hold back untill the mob is at 60%-40% hp, then wipe it out.

There's a trick for dynamis sneak attack. It's not magic, but it does help a little bit: trick attack on tank, then circle and sneak attack while trick has it glued for a little. WS seperately. The one hard part about trick attack in dynamis is that you can't trick on anyone in the zone. You can only trick on people that are in your own alliance.

You get bonus points for tricking on your own taru whm. Double bonus if they die from it. Tripple if they can't figure out why they had agro. Remember that taru death increases AF2 drop rate in dynamis!

 That's so mean! I wouldn't wish ill health onto those cute ickle people :)

Most the dynamis runs I've done I'd get like one swing on normal mobs before they die, two if I'm lucky. Hold back? Yeah right!

A parser can be run as a straight background program, no windower needed.

I don't use a parser either.

That is what I do, the problem is the people just crowd the mob, so there is no organization of haveing all the various tanks on one side, so the mob turns around constaintly when the tanks swap hate.

When i first joined my dynamis ls, i was credited for the 12 af a run in the cities, other than windy. Our record is 16 af in sandy and three 100 currency.

Ya, 81% is low, but I was eating +atk food. I don't XP on THF much -- only when I need to refill dynamis losses. Also, on THF, dps is about 20% sneak/trick, 30% dot/ws. More ACC really only helps the dot. So, I haven't focused a lot on thf gear. I'm 95% on NIN.

Obviously, you didn't grow up in the Mithra ghetto in Windurst. Ever met Shantoto? Her development company built the Mithra projects. :(

16 drops? Holy hell. Granted, I haven't been on many Dynamis's. (1 Sandy, win. 1 Jeuno, win. 1 Windy, wipe half way through) and I've only seen -one- AF drop. Thf hat.

Currently I think six AF drops is a poor run, but 16 would be uber. 15 - 16 runs with the current LS, maybe 3 - 4 more before that.

My Dynamis LS tries to have a THF in each party, and we do not have BLM parties.

The only part of my Dynamis AF I -really- need is the Armet, the hat drop from Xarcabard. >.< Yeah, right, I'll be getting that soon....pft...

If you have 75 RDM, WHM, or BLM, you could probably solo your Xarcabard AF2. It takes a lot of XP and gil to do it, but Xarca is unique among dynamis zones in that certain NMs drop only specific AF2. How it's done is that the mage zones in, goes to his AF2 dropper, spawns 'em, then DOTs up the NM. Then the mages dies, the critters go back, mage stands. Rinse, repeat. The DOT keeps hurting the NM even after the mage dies. Unlike other games, you don't have to touch the corpse to loot it -- if it drops, it just falls from the sky into your lap.

You coucld also go in with a single group and take out everyone's NM. It's very feasible to sac-pull each NM you need and slay it. You can even get the first 30m extension really easily with just 2 people.

So, 5k XP later and $1m gil poorer, your NM is dead and you got -- well, nothing unless you're very lucky. Xarca drop rates are at best ~1:20 for any given NM. For example, I've done somewhere in 50~100 Xarca runs. I've seen 5 THF gloves drop. 3 were from random kills, 2 were from the THF NM. That kind of drop rate is pretty typical. City run 5~10 AF2 is pretty much expected. Cold zone, I'm happy with more than 2 per run.

You want the Finger Gauntlets more, no other hand armour has more than that amount of accuracy, think Pahluwan has the same. Stack up the accuracy and can get away with using meat against Deco Weapons and in the Mire.
STR+4 is nice but Wyvern Helm is STR+5, the more potent breaths is very useful if you solo a lot; normal -> drachen -> wyrm -> normal (still need drachen for 50% trigger).

If the Xarca NMs didn't drop anything (ie. they were like any pre-Xarc NM), the only reason to kill them would be to pop Y&Y for DL. You can get all the extensions without doing the NMs. At a guess, I'd say each Xarca NM has a drop rate about 10 times better than any other xarca critter. Each one also *only* drops the AF2 for it's own job type. That's why even non-DL xarca farming runs typically make sure they take out all the NMs.
