I want to get married but at the same time I am not sure where I stand on the issue. I think:

1: should be in-game only.

2: other person should be about same age as me.

3: i am too shy to ask that kind of thing...except once...but it was a guy being mithra.

4: yes it must be opposite gender in RL too.

5: my elvaan is so goodlooking yet no interest seems forthcoming... 8)

All i have to say on the subject is that i myself, am engaged to a hume blm, and we do enjoy spending time with each other, wether it be in pts or just hanging out. it has been agreed that this will be a "in game only" relationship and that has not changed anything between us. So to everyone out there that has a wish to get married, make sure that its with some one that you have fun with in many different lvls and that you two enjoy each others company(example: sometimes we just hang out in party chat mode and just talk to each other for long periods of time while in a nice looking area like beucidine glacier or starfall hillock) hopefully others out there might benefit from my experience. thank you all for your time.

I ran my Eli on diabolos all the way from bastok to jueno, as war/whm to keep him safe, after 5 close calls, once we reached jueno, under a full moon against the clock tower, he proposed, and I said yes ^^ :)

everquest had sad little things, if you wanted to get married, you petitioned for a GM, they came to you, said a couple words, gave you cake and booze, and ran off. nice to see ceremonies in this game

Me, I am staying single. I don't need someone taking things from my moogle house and finding out all my hard earned Gil was speant at the Auction House in Jeuno on some damned shopping spree. Plus I work better alone anyways.

I like having someone to marry. Drizzit is my static buddy anyway. Our mains and subs are at the same lvl and I know he'd help me with anything. Besides... I want that damn dress already ^^

Oi. I'm pretty new here, 'cept I introduced myself on Cerberus chat 's a friend of Eviticus. I thought, "It'd be no good to rattle my bone-box on Mithra Pride board even though I'm on jolly good terms with MP on Cerberus 'cause I'm a Hume..."

Skag that, though. You all seem like pleasent enough cutters.

Ah, but SE (the leatherheads) opened up a nasty can o' worms with the marrying thing don't you think? I've got my own ideas, though. Here's the dark on love, you know? Love is selfish and unselfish at the same time. Don't know what I'm talking about? Think about it like this: a berk is selfish when it comes to love because it's a highly personal emotion. They ain't going to want anything in the world to come between them and that feeling. But a cutter loves a person? Respect comes with love - if a person really loves a person, then they understand that they don't own 'em. You can't own people, no matter how much you wanna - but if you do wanna, that ain't love either.

If love was possession, people'd have price tags on their foreheads, but they don't. ('less you're a slaver, but I doubt you wanna piece o' that.)

'Course you don't see half-breeds though. Galka don't breed, so it's moot fer them. Taru, Elvan, and Humes arn't the same race. Magic and science tell us that it's the same race if they can interbreed, but different if they can't. (Special exception for mules and the like - similar but different races may interbreed and create sterile offspring.) Ye might marry a different race, but don't be expectin' children 'cause it don't work.

A' course, marry who ya want. :D

(By the way, SE mucked some things up for me, personally, since a female friend of mine's playing a male Elvaan, and I'm playing a male Hume. This means that even though we considered having characters getting married, SE put the kibosh on it before we even started. And forget about me marrying one of the mules - they'd never reach requisite level. Ick, overall.)

What would be interesting would be if there was an in game benfit for being married, i dunno, maybe a bigger mog house, ability to use storage through a nomand moogle or different city that sorta thing.

Plus I think It would be intersting if when you were married long enough you could earn a free character that either of you could log in as and control, that way you could both "raise" a charcter... Something like that would be kinda cool. But since there is no real benefit I am gonna stay single.
