R-15 - Maybe they should call this one R-18 instead, get it, because it's rated 18? Anyway, not 10 seconds in and there's censorship and a girl moaning, don't let the start fool you though it's not a porno or anything as that was just one of the stories the protagonist wrote since he's an erotic writer. There is still censorship due to his fantasies and such, think it could be handled better and a bit more subtly but oh well. So it seems to be a comedy mostly with heavy erotica and a good chance of romance thrown in later. The art style is very cute (think Dog Days) and thusly doesn't really suit the perverted nature of the show. The jokes are pretty funny and the story... well, it sounds interesting on paper but has yet to really kick into gear. Yet to decide whether I like it or not. Definitely not a Shirai anime

Sugami wrote:The Idolm@aster - Slice of life with a hint of comedy anime. Based on a game but not a dating sim (as you might expect considering you'd play the male lead surrounded by females). The art style looks a lot like Battle Girls so it's pretty cute. I like the way this anime started, pretty unique as was like a documentary where the cameraman (the protagonist) follows the idols around asking questions. However it's not all that funny and I'm not sure the story will be all that interesting but we'll see.
First impressions:
Animation quality is not as good as it is in the game. (I own it.)
Then again the game has a lot of repetative animations.
Other then that, character wise it's quite like the game, except the producer has a face now.

Wouldn't have thought it'd be an anime you'd like but since you have the game you might as well watch it  Art is one of the main attractions of these games so you'd expect it to be better, anime need to be made pretty quickly though I don't think there's anything wrong with the animation of the anime.

Manyuu Hikenchou - SubDESU finally picked this one up and I can see why no one else wanted to do it. After reading the synopsis I was expecting a silly perverted anime, instead it's a stupid practically soft porn hentai, worse than Seikon no Qwaser, at least that had a story and taught you a little chemistry. Right from the start there's censorship and it's so bad that the whole screen is completely white at times, one character's boobs are so big they're often censored even though they're not exposed. I honestly don't see the point of making a TV series like this, make it an OAV or be more tasteful about it. Honestly the "story" doesn't need to be like a porno in places and they don't need to be showing any naked boobs. Speaking of the story it's so stupid, big breasts mean power and wealth so a group of samurai go around chopping big boobs but they don't actually chop their boobs off, it's not that grizzly, they just do a magical slice through them causing them to shrink. So you went from a GG to an A cup, what's the big deal besides having your lower back pain cured? Your parents got sick and your husband left you? This is the most shallow world ever! They even kinda have a Highlander thing going on with the "secret technique" stealing breast size, there will be only one!.. or two I suppose.
There's no point in watching the TV version, only point in watching it would be for the boobies.

Nekogami Yaoyorozu - Fantasy comedy anime. Art is pretty cute and story is well, silly and funny. It's mildly amusing, not laugh out loud funny but not bad. Speaking of the story, heroine gets stripped of her powers and sent to Earth for being naughty, gee where I have I heard that before *cough*Thor*cough hack*
Not something I'd especially recommend but it's not a bad watch if you have nothing else to do.

I'll probably drop it after another episode or 2 maybe 3.
It is indeed more of a title to cater the fans of series like K-On and the fans of the game itself.

Dantalian no Shoka - Fantasy, adventure with a touch of comedy. Art is pretty good with some really cool effects and backgrounds. The story strikes me as pretty interesting, don't really know what I can compare this one to but I was pleasantly surprised. It may be one for Shiria :P

Appleseed XIII - Finally someone picked it up/it was released, was beginning to worry for a second. First thing to note is everything is CG, with the possible exception of some backgrounds looking hand drawn. Humans look a bit... off, for want of a better word but otherwise the CG is pretty awesome with a heavy cel-shaded feel. I found the story a little hard to follow, not sure if it expects you to know about the old Appleseed stuff but probably just the way the story is being told. Definitely give this one a shot, Shirai :P

Some observations or whatnot about the a few of the series since they've progressed a little.

My opinion of Rou Kyuu Bu and YuraYuri has improved a bit. Rou Kyuu Bu's loli-fanservice is still disturbing but after the first episode the story has fleshed out a bit (or been made apparent) and it's somewhat interesting now, can emphasise with the characters a bit more. YuraYuri's gotten funnier, definitely has that A-Channel kind of feel, not quite as good I feel but it's still good entertainment.

I get the feeling fans of Blood won't actually like Blood-C, seems like it doesn't really know who it's aimed towards. There's a very heavy feel of "shoujo-manga" with the character designs being tall and skinny and the high school setting and characters but then there's the action part with all the blood and stuff and of course the characters have big boobs too so there's the "shounen jump" feel to it.

I just can't help but to smile when watching Usagi Drop, it's one of those stories that makes you feel all warm and cuddly inside :)

Ever wondered what the Ah! My Goddess people were up to since then? I'm pretty sure they're working on No. 6 now, art style seems bang on. Also heard there's going to be a sequel, called No. 7 (kidding)

I just have a few things to say about Blood-C...

WHAT THE F**K? WHAT THE F**K? WHAT THE F**K?!

So around episode 6-8 there was a big event that basically killed off the "shoujo-manga" aspect of the show and episode 11 there was a HUGE reveal that shakes things up so much and seems to tie it to the original OAV. There's also so much blood that it needs to get censored for TV :o

Blood-C movie in June :D If you had asked me if I cared about a Blood-C movie at the start of the series I'd have said no, but holy crap what an end. Seems like the series is basically a prologue to the movie.
