Bah, with the way things are today, it is suprising anyone from our generation is anywhere. I've a degree and am working on a second..... both of which don't show promise for a decent job. Seriously, I put out 20 applications, resumes, and cover letters a week and nobody calls. It's rough out there.

Heh, in 10 years them kids will be asking you what pentium is.
And I'll ask you if you know why they called Pentium Pentium.

Oh and between those 8086 we had the 8088, 80186, 80188 and then the 80286 came.
The 80386 after that was the true revolution as it was the first CPU on a 32 bit architecture which lasted until the later Pentium series.

I could answer that..or just let those who won't understand the brief synopsis of Due to AMD coming on the scene read this. http://www.brighternaming.com/pentiumstory.html

I am going to make you all feel young.

My first computer was made of cardboard. It was analog. It had a 2 D cell power supply. I got it from an add in a comic book. The year was 1954. Dwight D. Eisenhower was president. I was 10.

As to the voice chat thing, it blows my immersion, my concentration, and as a mater of fact I do have a marginal machine.

Being a RPer in a game that hardly anyone RPs in is not an easy thing. Pardon me if I do not want to be reminded of the humanity of my LS mates, nor their enthrallment with sports, porn, girls, boys, school, or politics.

Besides, although one can get voice changers so you can RP a real girl (or boy) on Vent or TS, there are none with a Mithra accent.

Why are Pentiums called that? Because Intel are little bitches

Hmm~ talking PCs, 80186s weren't really used, 80286 is the true successor of the 8086 and the 88s are just slightly improved versions. Dunno when they started to drop off the 80, guess since everything was x86 it was just easier that way :P

I also agree about voice chat ruining the fantasy, I don't want to hear a cat girl sounding like a dude nor a big Galka/Rodan(whatever they're called now) sounding all squeaky and a little Tarutaru/Lalafell with a deep booming voice :P

I want to thank Tsybil for making me feel young, since I seem to be older than most of you.

I am a bi-centennial kitten. My birth cert is all red/white/blue and stuff. :)

Also, Voice Chat uses the mystical powers of teh internet/phone lines to MAKE COPIES OF YOUR SOUL! How else can you talk to 20+ people at the same time when they're not in the room with you? And because it's hosted on a computer, IT KEEPS THE COPIES! To bake into cookies!
