Since you'd be a Mithra the free Windurstian Ring would give you +1 AGI +1 MND +3 MP. Agility is good for evasion, intelligence for black magic, and MP for just casting magic.

But that's if you start in Windy.

I'm pretty sure the ring gives you:

MP+3, AGI+1, and INT+1

The Sandy ring is the one that gives the mind +1

the main reason i wanted the free ring is that most rings for jobs you get arent until lvl 14, and those regular rings only add +1 to any stat, while the windy ring give you +1 to 2 stats AND 3mp, it simply is unbeatable at lvl 1 for any job (seriously every job could use an extra agi for its first few lvls, until they can replace it with something else). however i do not recommend staying in windhurst, i would move to another city, save up some gil and change allegiances (i prefer sandy, (i love the castle and area around it) but bastok is a viable choice possibly (authough it can get stinky at times  ).

not saying windy is bad... wait i am saying windy is bad, not as bad as bastok but still bad (hate to say it kitties, but the elves actually like me now^^, it just takes awile to prove to them your a good kitty *they are soo stubborn*)

*note: i am a sandy supremist its just who i am^^*

Windurst is much better then Bastok or Sandy mission wise. Most of the Windurst missions involve Mithra! What more can you want? Plus Windurst has the cat burrrgler. :D

Am I the only one who sees this as a symtom of a much larger problem?

Touché.

Well, that would have been nice to know before I threw down 40k
