You can kill tough mobs as THF/NIN but it takes high lvl items and certain tatics to do so. Also it depends on the kind of mob. Some mobs can be soloed easily with blink and sleep/bloody bolts. Just sleep the mob then run behind it and SA. Use bloody bolts to regen your HP. altho at least i have a Merc. Capt. Doublet now...
Sure it is expensive but it makes it possible to solo.
