Been busy the past few days, had lots of play time.

Kazham Airpass - Completed Solo

Aht Urgan Whitegate Access - Completed Solo

Rng - Completed..who doesn't do this solo?

NiN - Soloed except the leeches, recruited 1 person to down those obviously.

Rank 4 completed

Rank 5 - Just Oztroja left

Gobbie bag 1-4

All that as a 31 whm, with only 1 death. The death came in Beaudeux after a curse where I got 1 shotted before I could remove said curse and heal cause sneak decided to fail at a less the opportune time. Has been a busy little kitty this past week.

We whooped Proto-Omega's ass in about 5 minutes

To make up for lack of Eyes in previous attempts he gave us two this time round and a Heart ontop.
I kindly passed up the opportunity to complete the set as someone actually would get use out of the Homam Zuchetto

Haven't been doing much in XI. 15 SCH, 7 BST are the latest levels. (now no job is less than level7).

All dressed up, bag is packed with clothes and deodorant to last me for the next 3 days. Camera, Cell, DS... Xbox 360.

I'd headed out to my mother's place in California to attend Fanfest and stay at her place for her birthday.

Corsair done, got tired of trying to recruit some help so I switched to a level 1 job loaded web maps and ran it through. I must say this quest was crazy fun and had some fantastic cut scenes.

CRA Racing Classic vs Prince Pieuje's Noble Rose Finally Got Crushed. 2 Gyshal Bombs happened at the start, that was mistake 1 for Noble Rose. Then Noble Rose used a speed apple first. Then Swift Illusion (my Bird) Used a speed apple. Laws of Nitrous, he who juices first loses. I took the lead at the halfway mark. Despite 2 Fire Biscuits, I finished a full bird's length of the pack. Bronze Trophy.

Nice grats on the race win there.

I am still racing the lower brackets as the bird is still in training. Day 38 and Impressive Str/End. Once I hit First class will be switching to recep to learn canter/gallop. Mostly just collecting chocobucks for now. Average 2nd/3rd thanks to the "Super Chocos" that appear here and there. I ended up figuring that beyond the "Basics" most of the chocobo raising guides out there are flipping retarded. Once I figured that out, my birds stats started flying up. Which irks me some because with nearly 20 days wasted learning I could have probably had a first class bird now and be working on abilities.

Got my Jeunoan Flag. Testing it in campaign and <3 the new XP gain I get.

Also, DRG74. Gonna campaign it until 75 and then work on end game equip for it. Though, I think it'll be working on PLD before that happens.

Failed Ultima again

don't know how we're meant to handle the Citadel Buster spammings, PLDs can't seem to stand up to it.

Went smooth until the 20% mark then Buster Spammings until all tanks are dead, rest just follow suit

Shirai's guide on how to handle Citadel Buster:
There are a few ways to handle this.

-1: Have the Paladins eat it.
Paladins get a huge amount of Magic Defense bonus and Magic taken -% gear.
A White mage with capped Shellra 5 + Iron Ram gear makes a paladin take -50% damage from Citadel Buster alone.
Add some gear to it that gives Magic defense Bonus and you wll exceed the cap of -50% damage taken.

Yes Paladins can get gear to bring the damage from citadel buster back from 1500~ to 600/800~ damage easily!!
A decently geared Paladin should have 14~1600 HP by themselves.
The rate Citadel Buster goes is once every 90 seconds, after the use of Citadel Buster you have a 2/3 second window to cure up and during the countdown to Citadel Buster Ultima does nothing at all not even melee!
Use that time to get your HP up to cap.
Just make sure that hate is on the Paladin and everyone else is out of range when ultima is counting down.

-2: Have your strongest Melee go all out while the rest hides.
As the title describes, during the countdown send in your strongest melee and sacrifice his ass.
Make him do as much damage as he can before 3... 2... 1... SPLAT!!.
You will have lost one Melee, but hopefully shave off 3~5%.

-3: Go all out during countdown and hope it's dead in 30 seconds.
I can only say one thing:
You will be risking the whole fight on a lucky break hoping it will die, if not you will and the fight will be lost!
My personal advise regarding this:
Don't! I'm just puting it up there because it's an option.

Dos and Don'ts during the last 20%:

Don't! go all out between Citadel busters.
If you do that you will feed Ultima TP, in that mode he will spam Armor buster aka Citadel Buster light which is not on a timer but on Ultima's TP!
2 or 3 of those will wipe out your alliance.
Even better do not melee at all except when you have TP to WS with.

Do! take it easy.
WS if you can, you will take hate but a good paladin will get it back.
If you can handle the first 80% you should have 20~30 minutes left for the last 20%.
Take your time!
As I said before, a well geared PLD should have no trouble eating those nasty Busters with relatively easy to obtain gear.

Our usual Ultima setup involves a lot of summoners and black mages and very little melee for damage.
The melee that are there either sub /sam to meditate TP and WS/SC then back off or sleep their TP with an Opo necklace.
With that I have taken him down with as few as 10 people.

PLD AF2. Weekend will be dedicated to PLD AF funs.

Also, they're putting me through my 3rd run of Garlaige Citadel. Damn them!

Besides that, went 1/1 on Parade Gorget, Got new Body, Shield, Sword, and Pants.

Also, Nyzul Floor 30 = mine.

freaking ice storm knocked out my houses electricity and heat thursday night. Stupid utility company is saying parts of NE won't have power until weds or later

After dinner, a warm shower/bath and a stiff drink going to get on to see what plants survived my "vacation" /sigh

dinged highest campaign medal so far the other night- very happy kitty there since campaign is how I get my merits now.

PLD AF = completed.

Coffers took somewhere between 1 kill and FOREVER. Hunts themselves weren't too bad. Eldieme required the use of an extra body and one kill while Garlaige required WotG and FOREVER time to get the key.

Beadeaux took an expected 3 hours to get a key.

And Zvhal wasn't too bad. 5 kills, and a coffer hunt that ended in a MNK death.

Dinged 51, 52, and 53 PLD Last Night. Dinged 54 this morning and I'm in Cobliri territory.

I'm loving the fact that I can just soak up damage.

Instead of going "OH SH*T AGGRO!"

Edit: Did Nyzul for a few hours. Floor 31->50 COMPLETED!

Edit 2: 55 and 56 PLD dinged. 6k into so far. Hoping to hit 57 before sleep.

And I'm a Sack Holder for this Social/Lite HNMLS I'm in.

Did Bibiki Seashell quest for Evylin(Fiye). Got Reprisal... nothing else.

Started Evylin on Leviathan. So far level5 on Black Mage, Monk, Warrior, Thief, and Red Mage.

Saving all drops for Jeuno AH. Since someone gave me 5k to start with. Planning on buying the basic of basic spells for White Mage.

Plan for Evylin(Levi) is 20(21?) Black Mage, 42 White Mage, and 75 Red Mage.

Hoping to manage that by the time Fiye is able to transfer into Leviathan, but we'll see.

Also, imma try to do it without having to get the teleport crystals.

Hm...

Actually. I'll just level WHM to 42 and Red Mage to 75 if I'm doing that.

Decided to get off my lazy ass and level PLD.

Hit 62, but the party sucked so bad I decided to force d/c. Sat through an hour discussion with my father about my future, and then hopped onto Evylin. Dinged 13 and 14 before getting kicked over to Bastok. Probably set her on hold while I try to finish up Evylin's PLD.

Hopped on PLD, went lfp, and just dinged 63 before succumbing to sleep. Which is about to happen in a few minutes.

No dings, but Nyzul managed to make me a happy kitty.

Currently up for Floor 75. Which means I can now do Body runs! And I'm only 1160 WS from unlocking my mythic (Or 232 Tier 3 SCs).

And I got a really neat Spider Torque that I sold for 170k gil.

Edit:Decided to go on PLD. Dinged 65, right now attempting for 66.

Goals: 70 PLD by Wednesday
73 PLD by Friday
74 on Saturday
75 by Monday morning.

I already have all the equipment ready. Right now I just gotta be like Michael phelps and put myself into a leveling cocoon.

Well... its thursday and I'm 70 PLD With 21k/34k filled.

Dinged 66, 67, and 68 between Monday and Wednesday.

Dinged into 69, filled up the bar to 70, and am working to 71 right now.

Dinged 72 and 73. Got to floor 90 of Nyzul Isle. Attempted 91-95 but Nyzul said "No thxs" and an ass of a nag caused a fail.

Going to attempt 91-100 first thing in the morning. Win or lose I'll move onto grinding PLD until the night fall.
