We actually have 2 strategies.

First off at all times:
We hold it at 21% so everyone can recover MP.

Strategy #1:
After that we fight him normally until countdown where we get the hell outa there and let a Paladin with capped (Magic) Damage taken -% gear eat the Citadel Buster.
He will survive it easy if he's got enough of that gear and enough hit points.

The risky part is that Citadel Buster is a full hate reset so the next person on the list will get drawn in and take a few hits until the paladin gets hate back.
Either way we slowly continue our damage until the next countdown and repeat.

Strategy #2:
During countdowns send in one DD with a high damage 2hr, have him go all out and sacrifice him while he shaves off a couple of %.
Rinse & repeat until Ultima's dead sacrificing one DD at a time.

In both strategies at the last 4% or less we just go all out when he's counting down for the last Citadel buster.

If you want I can post a full strategy on how we usually do the full fight.

As for yesterday's fight, we went with people that had all done the fight before and knew how the fight works.
We all had something like:
Ok we have the jobs and the experience, noone else coming?
Heh let's just do it with 12 and see where it ends.

My Dyna LS pwn'd DL!

We got a 100 piece and the cape.
I dealt the final blow with a whopping 83 damage

which, sadly, was the highlight of my night.

Dancer is 32 now.

Beat King Goldemar with 3 minutes left and half the party incapaciated. Taru BLU kept getting pwnt'd by ga spells, NIN was down for the count, and we had a Aegis PLD holding up against him.

Oh god I fucking <3 Aegis.

Been super busy irl this spring/summer, but moving and going out west to visit friends and attend Rocklahoma does that

After last version update Lod and I switched nations (me> sandy and him> windy) so now we're working our way through the missions when we have the time. Just finished Sandy 6-1 and 6-2 for me and Windy 6-2 for him. As soon as I get the last cs for 6-2 I'll be Rank 7

Finally got around to joining a Dyna shell. did D-Basty this week and tomorrow we're doing D-Jueno

Not too much else- working on finishing RDM merits and levelling BST (about to ding 27^^). Going to take a break when BST hits 37 to finish take BLU, PLD, WAR and DNC to 37 finally. Maybe THF too, haven't decided about that yet.

Round 1: Got through Lava Spit and hit eles and wiped.

Round 2: Got through +Attack, Ate a few GoH, and hit Lava Spit before Tank got "OMFGHALP" attacked while I was resting.... then we wiped.

Round 3: Swapped out a PLD or NIN and had the SAM go /DNC

Eles got out of hand -> Wipe.

Round 4: Same setup and peeps. Fought Cerberus and died. DoT got him to 1%

/cry!

Round 5: 6% with RDM/DRK.

Round 6: Wiped at Eles at around 45%.

Round 7: Things just burned out.

Now we're thinking about SAM/NIN x2.
