FINALLY got a Lord's Armet, so I can keep my face covered when I hit 70 without being all gimpy.

Now, what to do for the next 3k XP to get there... used my Darksteel Armet in making the Lord's, and I.M. Armet is just kinda weak... ah well.

Mithrapride as a linkshell group is no more, I know some people have tried to start up branches on other servers last year but I have no heard from them in months either so I am fairly certain those are not active anymore either.
Also, the front page has not been updated for a few years and as I have no access to that part of the website that will probably remain unchanged until the site admin decides to change this or take this website out of the air.
Also, the shellholder and sackholders for the Midgard Mithrapride branch have either quit or play on different servers these days.

The best advise I can give you is to do a shout or two in Aht Urhgan Whitegate saying that you are looking for a helpful social linkshell.
That should be getting a few offers your way for some groups with people you can talk to and do some things with.

I myself am not able to provide you with a home.
I have only been on Midgard for 4 months and pretty much the only things I still do in game are HNM and Endgame related, also the linkshells I am in are used for those purposes.
I hardly know anyone there except for my own LS mates and some random people in the Endgame and HNM scene from other endgame linkshells that haven't been turned into complete bastards.

There is at least one MithraPride linkshell still going... on Phoenix. Prrsha runs it once more. (Or at least did a couple months ago. My character on Phoenix isn't a Mithra, so I'm not in it.)
I'm not bringing this up to start drama, it is simply a statement of what is.

On Midgard, if you are looking for a friendly linkshell you might consider WeSH. Fair warning, they have a strict no-swearing policy, but aside from that it's mostly good peoples.

Oh how I hated leveling SCH to 37......
Soloing wasn't that hard really although it took a while to solo T Crabs for Fields of Valor in Qufim and stuff.
Because everyone meleeburns through Qufim these days with a PL and level sync getting parties on a mage job simply said sucks big time and the times I did get a party most of them were terrible.

But SCH as a sub for my WHM and SMN is absolutely worth all the effort put into it.
For a Red mage though, I don't know if /SCH is all that useful.

When I leveled Scholar to 37, I found it to be an interesting job. As befits such a job, the quality of the experience rises exponentially, mimicking perhaps a graph of y=(x^2)-x . It starts off terribly, worse even than Thief. However, as you begin to accumulate levels it starts to become more bearable. At 20, tolerable. Once you hit 30 it becomes decent. And at least, once you hit 35 it's actually a blast to play Scholar... and while I haven't made it past 37 yet, I suspect the trend continues onward and upward.

As for my accomplishments:

Completed A Shantotto Ascension and got Cure potency and PDT on the pants.
Got my Quicksand caves coffer key so can continue with A Moogle Kupo detat, hopefully next weekend...

Finally finished the melee kitty's Temple set.

Seeing as how she had been 2/5 on MNK AF and 5/6 on MNK AFv2 for over a year....

And now I also have Alexander as a summon.

For those that have finished ToAU, even if you have no interest in smn I do suggest you pick up the quest line for these two avatars.
You'll have to fight them multiple times (which is no big deal as the fights are disgustingly easy) but as it looks now these quests pretty much wrap up the storyline for ToAU as Apocalypse Nigh did for Zilart and CoP.
