Sitting at 500k/600k now. Went and tried to camp the NM, but ended up 1/3 on claiming and 0/1 on drop (Figures). Also chased after Quu Dom and went 2/2 on claim and 0/2 on drop (Yet again, figures).

Got a lot of white stones. need to find a high level gold smith...

Acquired Duelist's Gauntlets -1 at Dynamis Bubu yesterday. Should have my new Duelist's Gauntlets +1 today.

Check right now Sugami. I found out that if you are eligible for promotion and don't stand for it, you get no assault points till you do.

As for accomplishments, my melee kitty, Clothcraft 88 +2, can make all the clothcraft items for DNC AF.

The dyna ls I am in tried him again this past Sunday ... and failed... again! Our second attempt so far. I had to change to Samurai (only recently dinged 75) & choked when I saw the damage on my self light SC: 340ish -> 360ish -> ZERO
I was so depressed I went camping pallas/alky pop items later that night.

I managed to get all three items for the Brown Belt quest within 3 hours.

I got Mor's at 11:15 A.M. Dodo's around 12:XX, and Nue's at 2:XX.

Did my first two Jailers (Fortitude and Faith) monday. Fortitude went ok, but Faith Let's just say not having any tank (or even dd for that matter) /war didn't help at all

I had fun though I've been claimed as the BLM party RDM so I get to actually nuke some usually which makes me a happy kitty

Did an Up in Arms run again, still no luck on KC but we did see a Walkure Mask drop

Bring a couple BLU's for the 8-1 NM.

Their stun moves work wonders. After you clear 8-1 the rest is a cakewalk. Most trouble I had was with the moss for 9-1. Even with TH4 it still takes forever to drop.

Fortitude is the Genbu of sea basicly.
Get rid of his Ghrah helpers and he's easy peasy.

Faith indeed is a nasty bugger and probably the most dangerous indoor sea god.
A few tips for beating him easier.

-Have the BLMs sub rdm and rdms sub blm, make an ES Gravity order.
-Keep spread out to avoid every player in the alliance from getting hit by his breakga.
-Have one or two white mages roam outside the alliance, purely on stona duty.
(Stona Order: White Mages > Tanks > Everyone else. It doesn't hurt to have that trigger happy black mage petrified for a while.)

An easy way to beat him:
Astralburn.
Garuda has an extremely high stone resistance (Quake II for single or double digitit damage) and resists breakga about 90% of the time.
Avatars by themselves have a natural physical damage reduction of 50%, which makes them extremely viable tanks.
5 or 6 summoners can take Faith down very easy by simply keeping Garudas on him and use predator claws whenever the BP timer is ready.

As for /war, basicly that subjob is obsolete when it comes to longer fights.
The enmity generated by provoke fades away, after 30 seconds the enmity generated by it is gone. We call that Volatile enmity these days.
So if a tank only has Provoke to rely on, they need a lot of enmity gear or consider another sub that generates more Cumulative enmity like rdm or drk subjobs since it's pretty hard, I'd even dare say near impossible to straight tank Faith unless you TP burn him.

DL was my first try as well, but we announced the run a good while ahead of time.
I made very strict rules on what people should bring, which job to come as and how to prebuild the alliances ahead of the fight.
I would be lying if we didn't have some kind of extremely fast damage though.
1 Kraken club DRK and a Samurai with a stage 4 relic Katana aside from a huge bunch of normal DDs.
Our stage 5 relic Katana sam didn't make the run unfortunately.

Of course the killshot went to a Paladin.

we have no DRK's... the couple we did have disappeared and neither had kraken anyway
my relic GKT is only on stage 2 ... need 15 L. Jade for next upgrade.
I was planning on sponsoring the next windy run...but the leader has us locked into xcarabard until... well i dunno how long, i guess we'll be there until either the 100's run out that fund the ls or we beat DL.

Thanks for the tips and we were doing most of them already. The biggest trouble was definetly hate control- or I should say the inability to refocus Faith's attention off the squishy mages.

To be honest, I wouldn't say the BLMs were over-nuking either. All of them know how to tap-dance on that razor hate line pretty well and were being careful.

I agree that in a lot of cases /war isn't always the automatic sub of choice for a lot of fights. NIN/drk is very popular, /nin and even /sam have their applications but in this case having the main PLD kiter be /war would've made it a lot easier based on our set-up.

In my opinion and based on experience with kited fights in the past (both solo and party/alliance)- /nin and /drk take skill and experience to pull off and Faith isn't exactly the NM to be honing your skills on.

Our first body drop from Nyzul Isle and I won! Poor guy lotting against me lotted a 6... Yay Askar Korazin!





Also got Vicious Mufflers from Bloodlapper. That was a fun fight, BLM and RDM can easily duo it.
