I want to make one that lists good and bad togeather.......

1 rule to this thread, you ahve to name one good thing AND one bad thing togeather for any of the 3 systems,

Just as a correction... Wii has 512 megs of internal flash memory for storing savegames and the like. So while it doesn't have a hard drive per se, you won't be juggling memory sticks. It's also possible to hook up an exteral (USB) hard drive if you want more storage.

Xbox Live Gold Service: as if paying 80$ a year just to hear 12yr olds sing in Halo was enough reason...
Data storage on disk for larger games: The Blu-Ray tech for the PS3's drive holds more base storage area for programming, therefore larger games and 'hopefully' longer RPGs
Nintendo: The Big N. Nuff said.
Low initial cost: The Wii has a lower base price than the other two systems, and so far seems to perform at a similar level.

PS3: The good is that it can play PS2 games, it looks pretty cool, it'll (hopefully) have a decent free online gaming service, Sony has a good stable of third-party developers.
The bad is Blue Ray is unproven technology, no one has really expressed a burning desire to create 25GB games beyond the cutscene whores at Square Enix and the makers of MGS, Final Fantasy XIII's "Multi-game structure" screams "Financial prison rape" to me, the PS3's price is financial prison rape, no rumble in the controller, tacked-on motion sensing, more potential financial rape in the form of "Microtransactions."
Xbox 360: The good is it looks damn sexy, the games that actually take advantage of its horsepower look great even on my crappy TV, A ton of cool games coming down the pipeline.
The bad is the cost of peripherals, XBL Gold, (I went on there once. I scored a sweet headshot in Halo 2 and the 12-year-old victim screamed "YOU F***ING N****R! I'LL F***ING S*** ON YOUR FACE MOTHERF***ER!") Backwards compatibility doesn't support Panzer Dragoon Orta (STILL!!!), the Xbox 360 is loud, to maintain play over long periods of time you need a $20 third-party accessory, the power brick is considered a lethal weapon in 13 states, the games right now are few and far between, the $60 price tag on "Third party" games, the $40 price tag on "Budget games," and the fact that the 20 gig HDD will soon be replaced; meaning when I go to trade the 20 gig in to EB Games to get store credit towards the new one I'll get f***ed on my trade-in.
Wii: The good is it looks like a total blast to play, the price tag cannot be beat, the fact that I can play older games on it via emulation is awesome, I mean, sure I can play via emulation now but this will be full-screen and with a SNES style controller!
The bad is all the gimmicky games we're gonna get, (Look at the DS) the PS fanboys and Halo crowd won't support it, meaning there's a good chance it could be GameCube 2 or even worse, DreamCast 2, the constant bitching about how it's a GC 1.5 with a new peripheral, then there's the "Boy do I look stupid playing this" factor, third-party support may be lackluster at best, if there's no rechargeable battery packs for the WiiMote then batteries will be a big issue.
Overall I say if Nintendo can get some good games that aren't gimmicky, if Microsoft can somehow manage to release more than three games a month and lower peripheral and game retail costs, and if Sony can make Blue Ray a success and offer a good online service without "Microtransactioning" us all into Chapter 7 bankruptcy, I think this will be one fierce fight this console cycle.

The good: Doa4, comfortable controller, I regretfully do not have much outside of that for me.
The bad: Overpriced for being only a Game Console, Community blows I cancelled my Xbox live subscription, Halo demographic,laughable backwards compatiability, hard drive and wireless controllers not standard on base model. I could go on but I got my 360 for free so I will cut them a little slack.
Conclusions: Just plain not worth it for a game console, Does not bring anything really meaningful to the console market for the price.

The good: Cheap, uber backwards compatability, rechargable remotes, potential for great titles for little cost.
The bad: Nintendo "Innovation", Bulk of games blow, no hard drive standard
Conclusions: great overall game console for the money. Hard to complain about outside a few minor gripes which should be offset by the price.

The good: uber backwards compatability, Huge selection of games at launch that look good, Not Just another Damn game machine, Blu-Ray dvd, Price point for what it brings to the market is simply unmatched for those wanting far more then another gaming toy, No rumble yes I said it..no rumble I hated that feature.
The bad: Micro payments really give me a serious reservation....Serious reservations..
conclusion: For those of us looking for a unit that ties together our digital entertainment centers together, this is an item that will not be passed up. for those who are just looking to game, its overpriced. You have to choose your particular cup of tea in this case.

Outside of the 360 (Which I have) I doubt i'll buy any new consoles for a while. I have a lot of current-gen system games I still need to play and that will give next-gen some time to lower prices, settle the market, and get a good stable of games.
You see, when I got my PS2 there wasn't a whole lot out there for the first year PS2 software wise and after that I swore i'd wait for good games (I did wait a year on Xbox and GameCube) then I got caught up in the 360 madness and history repeated itself
