im haveing problems getting the stone monument in saumage campain dont mind the spelling i have found it but i cant get to it help on how to get their wud b mushly appriciated
You have to go through garliage citadel to get to it. I'm pretty sure you need to go through one of the banishing gates and there's a ton of high level undead in there.
You don't have to do every monument to get the quest, you can skip two. I'd recomend skipping Sauromague and Batallia Downs cause you need to go through Eldieme Necropolis which is just as hard.

To get to the stone monument in Sauromague Champaign you actually have to go through two banishing gates, which means you need a total of four people. Either people high enough level not to catch aggro in there (60+ maybe) or a group of crazies like me who started exploring everywhere as soon as I could sneak/invis myself.
General directions would be from the first Banishing Gate, you'd go north(ish) and eventually you'll come to a stone corridor that turns west(ish) The triggers for the other gate are in the rooms surrounding the gate itself. These rooms tend to have Fallen and high level Bombs, so be very very careful.
I'm trying to figure out how to get to the Battallia monument, myself. I know it's on the island, but damned if I can find a map that shows the proper Eldieme entrances/exits to use.

To reach South Battalia Island, enter Eldieme through the southmost entrance in Battalia Downs. You'll be on this map:

Now you have to get to the big room on the south end (G-9) and drop through the center square. You can't get there alone - you'll need at least one other person to help work the switches.
