Yea, a little surprising tbh. They still have a massive library of games for it and they dropped compatibility for the PS3. Doesn't affect me much though, I have 2 of the versions that are compatible.

I never did understand why they dropped backwards compatibility.

Unless to port and resell the PS2 truly massive library.
