I have too much time anymore.
So, four things happened within the last two days.
Tuesday: School ended for the 13th, and 'last', time in my life. Now I get my Diploma *glee*.
Tuesday Night: Last week, something odd had happened. I saw a couple of girls screwing around in the Staples aisle of the grocery store I work in. The mother of a girl named Nicole saying that her daughter [Nicole] had a crush on me.
Fast forward to 'today', and the woman comes back, asks why I didn't call her, and I feed her an excuse about finals. So, I decide to give her a call that night. We end up setting up the basic plans for a date on Thursday.
Wednesday: Went to appear in court for my "Driving without license in possession" in ticket. Ended up wasting two hours just to drive to Henderson, sit in a room for a half hour, walk up, say Yes, Guilty, Yes, and then show my License, and get the $187 charge dismissed. Talk to Nicole and get plans to go to the South Point to see a movie.
Thursday: Went on a date to see Iron Man (Which, by the way, is FREAKIN AWESOME), chatted a lot after the movie, and paid $4.00 for a fucking medium drink.
Dear lord, I'm getting old. Before I'll know it, I'll be able to drink legally.

Fiye, from my perspective I consider you lucky.
{/sigh} still 4.5 more years until I can legally drink.
Not to mention I have to put up with school for atleast 6 more years (I plan on going to college).
Who knows how many more years I'll have to wait to be treated with respect.

So, I'll take it you just finished your Sophomore year.Rishutlaw wrote:

Right about then, every begins to mature quite a bit. It isn't until your Senior year when a lot of your clss acts a bit mature.
And even then, its 'cuz the kids that cause the most trouble begin to drop from school. Really, your senior year is a blessing xDDD.
Mah, now I'm on the Rollercoaster into life. The never-ending climb is over ; ;

Forrrever Rish, I'm 64 now and still waiting. Legal booze is overrated. So is underage drinking, but in the USA it is how teens "prove" they are grown up. /sighRishutlaw wrote:4.5 more years until I can legally drink.

Hill? What hill? I didn't see any hill.Fiye wrote:And 10 years from then until I get over the hill.

I wouldn't do 16 again if you paid me. Well maybe if I could start at 16 and then go on again, but 16 and then back to 64, no way.Shirai wrote:I'm only 27 and longing back to 16, ah the freedom I had ._.

I have the feeling that some of my friends won't mature much more. I'm still waiting for my parents to act their age as well. My Dad has skipped out on two oppointments he's had with me in the last week. My mom acts like she's 13 because everytime I say something in an arguement that she can't reply to she always makes a silly remark that has nothing to do with what I've said. My parents can't stand when I outsmart them or are more responsible than they are, so I often lose my freedom privilages.
I hate being 16 because you can't get a job outside of the food industry (or atleast where I live anyway), no one takes you seriously, and your parents control your life.
Recently my parents have decided that they are no longer living together. Now I have to take care of everything that isn't financially related. Now more than ever my freedom isn't available.
I happily await the day I go off to college and never have to look back.

Perhaps, as you speak from a lot more experience in life then me.Tsybil wrote:I wouldn't do 16 again if you paid me. Well maybe if I could start at 16 and then go on again, but 16 and then back to 64, no way.Shirai wrote:I'm only 27 and longing back to 16, ah the freedom I had ._.

However, honestly there are a few things I would have done another way.
But right now, I'm in a pretty good place

One thing I'd try to change would be to not be so shy
looking back on how shy I was in school (especially towards girls) it's kinda depressing, if I had worked on it sooner I might be a little less shy now
One choice I made almost ruined my life and career, that was choosing Computer Science at Kent University. Set me back 4 years essentially, should have gone to Sheffield and possibly done another course

drinking is nothing special. I was coaching someone on responsible drinking where i work at and i think he understood.
It makes me kinda sad to say this, but if all the years i had playing games were all that counted for me to be able to drink alcohol.. I'd still be over the legal age limit for my country by 4-5 years.
