I watch subitled versions on my computer. It's pretty good that way.

4Kids was heading for disaster they decided to make the new intro. All I ever end up hearing is something like...

Hmmm....must admit I haven't seen even a glimpse of it. But I must say any anime that has that many episodes just can't be good. Only good ones I've seen are 'Hajime no Ippo' (76 eps.) and 'Rurouni Kenshin' (95 eps.) - and RK really started losing its touch in the last episodes. No - it's always quality, not quantity, that counts!

:D I love one piece. YA YO YA YO HERE'S HOW THE STORY GOES..... :roll: I must agree alot of high esp. anime dont do so well. But there are so many. DBZ will always stay with me and Gundam Wing series with Hero and crew. Best short anime series IMO has got to be FLCL. Do you ever wish you could just stop time and watch all the different anime to find the one you like best??? :?:

I've read the manga for the past 1-2 years now. It's really nifty, but I can't agree with the anime! It's like been molded into the american culture. The music? What happened to the nice classical tune?
No, I don't want to be a queen of pirates either. :3

What about InuYasha and Ranma 1/2? They had over 100 episodes each and are really good. ;)

I like the One Piece manga... not so much the anime, but it's alright, I guess. The thing about One Piece is that the author just drags things out to ridiculous lengths. The fight against Buggy and Don Krieg didn't need to take 4 volumes (2 each) to wrap up. But oh well... I still read it. :P

Manga usually faster...

in most of cases Manga is created before they make animation. Also you can get to find more content of this "animation" if you read manga.

Manga is way faster than animation ^^;
while they have 210 episode in T.V... book only have 30ish volume(with faster pace and ahead story)

As a rule of thumb, most anime start to suck horribly after about 75 episodes. Reason being they lose alot of creativity and start rehashing alot of stuff.

One piece is definitally the exception to this, there are other exceptions but this is one of the best. I am currently on episode 130 and still loving it. I agree a couple of fights took longer then they needed but not terribly so. I have seen much worse blatent filler *Cough DBZ majinbuu Cough* For the most part One Piece maintain's an incredible amount of creativity and continues at a fairly quick pace. If you have not watched it, I highly suggest you do.

The vast majority of the character development is done extremely well, There are always going to be a couple of irritating one's, Buggy the clown and Usopp come to mind. Although you might find yourself at least somewhat liking Usopp in later episodes.

If I had to fault the show for anything it would be the English Dub. Do Not Watch the Dub, it honestly destroys One piece it is Atrocious. I like Dubs like Inuyasha, Cowboy Bebop, Evangelon, FMA. But this is one of the worst Dubs I have ever seen. The voice acting is simply horrible when compared to the Japanese version.

As far as Fansubs, the best I have found is Kaizoku Fansubs. Right now they have done through episode 160 or so out of the 250ish there are, and their translations are pretty much spot on. They even do a fairly good job of putting slang in place.

The voice acting isn't the only reason I stray away from the English-ized version.

4kids got their hands on it and crapped on more than just voices. If you ask me, the new intro blows compared to the original one. If I remember correctly, they also edited and took stuff out to DODGE A CHARACTER'S DEATH.

I believe this comic best explains 4kids: http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=145
