Yeah, I'm not a shellholder, sackholder or an LS leader by any means, but I decided to create an LS Event.

MithraPride Scavenger Hunt!

Edit: I didn't really explain what you're doing. Basically I've created a very large list of things for you to find and screenshot. The items are dividided into categories and assigned point values according to difficulty. I've taken care to ensure that most of these screenshots can not be set up and will require some hunting to create. Bonus points are given for completeing an entire category... though I challenge you to complete even one! The categories are as follows:

The full list will be available two hours before the hunt begins. The last category is a joke category, but I will award an arbitrary amount of bonus points for the best entries in that category.


Rules: The hunt will begin at 0:00 EST on Saturday, May 22nd and I must recieve all screenshots by 0:00 EST Monday, May 24th for them to be accepted. Screenshots from any utility are acceptable, but large screenshots (Fraps definitley, possibly Clipper) MAY NOT be in bitmap format, they must be compressed enough to not make sending them a pain in the ass. For any shot that requires text, all relevant text must be readable and (obviously) unaltered. Unless otherwise noted, all character screenshots must be of the character standing in front of you, with search window open to provide information (if necessary). No screenshot may be comprised of more MP members than non MP members (that means no MP members for any shot involving a single character). Shots may be emailed to me (jamesmcgarity@msn.com), sent via DCC in #mithrapride on espernet, or sent via AIM to Lacking Gravitas and must be in some form of archive (zip etc.).

Prize is yet to be determined. A gil reward is possible if people are willing to donate towards one. Otherwise, the reward will be my assisstance with any one of the following:

Almost forgot, I need some volunteers for judges. It'd be kinda difficult to run this all myself, so I need some people willing to receive screenshots and tally points. If you choose to be one, I'll send you the full list of categories and accept suggestions for more from you. Rakis is already a probably judge. Two more would be nice.

Oh yes, I'm sorry, but I can't think of a way that PS2 players can participate in this. Also, you will need some kind of screen shotting utility to participate. I'll provide links to Fraps and Clipper right here.

I'm a PS2 player, and our only real limitation is that we cannot display the windows (chat, menu, equipment, etc.) in our screenshots. We would be able to participate in a NM screenshot hunt though. But in terms of say, finding characters wearing certain armors (Opal Armor, for example) and getting proof in text format (check), we can't participate.
