My favorite job is, and will always be, RDM.

The only advanced job I have unlocked is SMN, still level 5....

As far as my other characters go, My Elvaan has only PLD unlocked, and is in love with the job. My Mithra SAM/RNG would like SAM a lot better if people understood what the SAM job is good for (the essential piece of gear for a SAM, a second computer on a Skillchain Generator, is still beyond me.). /RNG is a blast, RNG is a chore. My Hume THF has yet to hit 30 porrr thing.

Samurai, I aimed for this job ever since I bought this game and I've liked it really much! Only other job that I enjoy as much is WHM.

You are right except for one thing. That makes little sense for a RPer. About as much sense as changing Nationality to see the other plotlines, a thing that makes a LOT of sense to a Gamer. Everything done in the game has to make sense to my characters* as people.

Why would I, a dedicated RDM, ever want to level a melee job? When I was a kitten, all I ever wanted to be was a RDM. Some things haven't changed. Someday I will perhaps level NIN. I might level THF sometime. I WILL level SMN. I do not EVER want to level WAR. The concept of HAVING to level WAR for NIN has kept me from the job so far.

Each of my characters has a life, plans, and desires of her own. But I the player, have three characters and a mule with levels in WAR.....

*This leads to some odd paths. My Elvaan leveled first as WHM to 18, RDM/WHM to 16, WHM/RDM to 25, WAR/RDM to 30, now PLD/WAR 31. If you knew her you would understand....
