a few drawings

I was kinda out camping for a while, and didn't have much to do, so I thought of you guys and did a few drawings.

anyway, keep in mind that I haven't done any drawing for a LONG time(i'm talking years here) and these were without any visual references(save for one of them).

this one is for a friend that wanted me to do a tattoo for him.

i had the same friend draw me a few stick figures of positions he would like to see, so i could make them into drawings, i did a couple, but they are SNWS, lol. Only this guy would draw stick figures sitting on a freaking toilet. lol I might post the drawings he did just for kicks

heh, I should write a book sometime. Drawing is easy. It's hardly anything more than a series of tricks and techniques put together. Sure, there's a certain "eye" or "feel" that you need for it, but that can be developed.
IMO, probably the most important things to concentrate on is perspective and proportions.

I can draw a really nice stick figure. Beyond that it the stuff of legend.

then all you need to work on is how to draw a proper stick figure.

from there you just flesh it out. It may sound corny, but the best book I've ever seen is "How to draw comics, the marvel way"

Well, I've been working on this for about 2 weeks off and on at work. It's my first attempt at drawing a Mithra, and I'll be drawing more to get it looking better. But, I'm still learning how to draw... sucks because my girlfriend's so frickin' good at it.

But, anyway... I told Dukuji a while back that I'd draw something for her, so here it is... (I erased around the image to get some of the nasty eraser marks off of it).

I'm going to work on my style and attention to extremities, but I hope you like this first attempt! ^^ My girlfriend said she'd ink and shade it this weekend, so hopefully I'll be able to post that soon.

Only thing I would recommend is to work on proportions. It's not an easy thing to do, especially when trying to draw in perspective.

One of these days I'll actually do a drawing, and not just sketches as I've posted.

Yeah... I'll try to do that either tomorrow or sunday. I'm gonna fix up the legs for ya tho while I'm at it. ^_^

Oh, and hi guys! I actually have a linkpearl and such, but I haven't been able to play... my computer is being quirky, and a lovely lyric site spammed my computer with a nasty virus, so it needs to be reformated. (which Josie gets to do in return for me inking/coloring the image! Haha!)
