Twenty Million Tons Under The Sea: The Capture Of U-505

U-505 is famous for her capture and being the only restored German Sub that you can walk through in America. Housed in her newly restored exhibit in The Museum Of Science And Industry in Chicago, there is something most Tourists don't know. The man who captured the sub, Captain Gallery was a Chicago Native who saved her from becoming target practice when the US Government was done stripping and inspecting her during World War II.
Captain Gallery wrote a book about the task force that stalked her, and captured her. It's a book that I have read but at an auction, I was able to aquire for very little money a first edition signed copy by Captain Gallery himself. Only a handful of these books are known to exist and my copy is still in her protective mylar bag and envelope. I will open her up under 2 conditions: A) I get a display case for this book and B) I remember what I did with my camera --;
This book is a great read. I highly recommend it. Even if you're not a history buff, It's a great book.
