Apart from DRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!, not a clue.
But since I'll be spending part of my vacation with cosplayers from 26 countries I think I'll get an idea here and there.

There's quite a few sequels, there's a couple of new series I think you might like.

Aohara x Kinkanjuu - Action, comedy, school. So think of this as Ouran High School Host Club cross one of those survival club anime recently. Seems to be popular as late, this is the third survival club anime in recent years. Fun BB gun action and pretty damn funny, has my approval. On the Yes pile.

Charlotte - Supernatural, comedy, school. School kids with "super powers", not the most original of ideas but it's interesting, fun and funny. Artwork is pretty cute too, worth a watch. On the Yes pile.

Classroom Crisis - Sci-fi, comedy, school. Quite interesting, moderately fun and funny. On the Maybe pile.

Gansta - Action, drama. This is one for Shirai methinks. Really quite intersting, good action, dark themes (prostitutes being abused from the get go), I'm fully on board. On the Yes pile.

GATE - Fantasy, comedy. Another one of those "demon worlds invade our world" kinda anime, there's nothing all that interesting or different with this one, it's not bad but it hasn't really caught my attention. The one catch is the main character is an otaku in the army. On the No pile.

Ranpo Kitan - Game of Laplace - Mystery, horror, school. This really struct me right from the get go, really has peaked my interest. Basically main character wakes up in school to see his teacher brutally mutilated and arranged into some twisted corpse statue and he's holding the murder weapon, rather than freaking out he decides to find the real culprit to prove his innocence. Dark and intriguing, one for Shirai methinks. On the Yes pile.

Rokka no Yuusha - Fantasy, action. Just another generic fantasy action anime really, doesn't do anything different, interesting or exciting than you've already seen before. On the No pile.

More to come! :P

Akagami no Shirayukihime - Fantasy, shoujo. Some bastardized version of Snow White, I dunno. Not all that interesting to be honest, not even sure if the ladies would like it. On the no pile.

Chaos Dragon - Fantasy, action. Takes a whole episode to get interesting and not that interesting when the plot kicks in. Main character witnesses loved ones get murdered, sells his soul to the devil kinda deal, been done before and done better. Not bad but rather mediocre TBH. On the No pile.

Himouto! Umaru-chan - Comedy. Maybe I was too busy being pissed off with my Gundam but just wasn't that funny or interesting, there are better comedies out there. On the No pile.

Jitsu wa Watashi wa - Comedy, romance, school. Lit. "Actually... I'm..." Boy meets girl, girl is vampire, boy can't keeps secrets, boy falls in love with girl, and the rest as they say is history :P I like this, cute and pretty damn funny. On the Yes pile.

Joukamachi no Dandelion - Comedy, supernatural. Basic story is about this royal family and they all have super powers, which is proof of their royal blood line. It's mildly amusing and funny but not enough to keep my attention. On the No pile.

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou - Ecchi, harem, comedy. So they basically wanted to make an anime about "monster girls" trying to get jiggy with the main character. Well maybe if you're after an ecchi you'd enjoy it but otherwise just so damn stupid. On the No pile.

OverLord - Sci-fi, fantasy, gaming. So it's another one of those "getting trapped in an online game" anime. The twist in this one is that the main character is playing a "villain" and is the master of an army of minions, there doesn't appear to be any other humans stuck in the world (as yet). If it wasn't for the fact that I still have SAO2 and Log Horizon 2 to watch I'd be interested in this. On the No pile.

Shimoneta - Comedy, school. This is an interesting concept and maybe a jab at censorship in Japan. In the near future in Japan vulgar words are outlawed and porn is banned, makes talking about babies fun :P Main character gets forced to join an outlaw against such oppression. I like this and it's pretty damn funny. On the Yes pile.

Sora ga Seiyuu! - Slice of life, comedy. Lit. This is voice acting! Cute, interesting and funny. On the Yes.

Ushio to Tora - Fantasy, action. It's like Inuyasha only not as good, the art style seems to be back from that era too.Other anime have done the same better. On the No pile.

Phew! More to come!

It's mainly because I've got a huge backlog and need to be stricter on the series that I watch, most of it isn't bad but "okay at best" shouldn't be a factor in keeping my attention :P Really the only one that was "bad" is the monster girl ecchi anime, rest are just okay.

Gakkou Gurashi! - School, ... "Live at school club", it's cute and little funny, was about to put this on the no pile then HUGE plot twist at the end of the ep completely changes the mood and tone. If you want a surprise don't read the synopsis, always nice to come across these surprises. I'll definitely be watching the second episode, not sure how they'll continue the series from here but that'll determine whether I stick with it or not. On the Maybe pile.

Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyoukan - School, err... Honestly can't remember much of anything of this one, maybe I was too tired when watching it, I dunno. Apparently it's aimed at seinen but didn't do enough to hold my attention. On the No pile.

Prison School - School, comedy, ecchi. Kinda in two minds about this one, the ecchi isn't overly obnoxious but the panty censorship is off-putting. Saying that it's really very funny and a somewhat interesting take on the whole co-mingling of a once un-co-ed school. On the Yes pile.

I haven't seen it yet, but I hear it's quite disappointing.
I'll stick to the manga, I guess.

The monster girl anime? I wasn't aware there was expectations on it

God Eater - Sci-fi, fantasy, action. Based on the game this anime seems to centre around a new character, a new recruit to the organisation (I forget what it's called). Gotta say I really like the art style, seems like they've put extra detail in light and shadow, looks cool. I haven't played the game but I don't think you need to to get what's going on. On the Yes pile.

Last one I think!

Can't say anything about the anime, but the Manga's actually pretty fun if you manage to cut through the fan service.
I am a big sucker for Mythology and stuff, and the Manga does go into things like the herritage of Lamia, Ogres, Harpeia, Tauri and the like.
I'm guessing so far the anime's just fanservice and none of the myth, but like I said, I haven't actually watched a single episode (Let alone anything else released this season).

Just been too busy with other things. (Including my (growing) DVD and Blu Ray backlog. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!)

Yeah maybe they get round to it in later episodes but the start of the first episode the guy basically jerks off the snake girl's tail so that sets the tone of the series from the start :P On the other hand Prison School is REALLY funny, the fan service and annoying censorship is easy to get past because the humour is that good. It's got some real cringe worthy stuff too but still damn funny, e.g. girl getting accidentally pissed on (her fault really :P) and guy pooping himself "for the greater good".

Death Note has a drama series!

Edit: You're in for a treat with episode 1, 1 hour and 11 minutes long! It looks like it's going to be longer than the two movies but shorter than the anime. The first quite big difference I noticed is how reluctant Light is to kill people at the start, you can see he really struggles with it, which speaks a lot to his sense of justice. They've already introduced Near so you can bet on there being a Near arc.
Episode 2 looks to be 45mins long so seems like we'll be getting nice long episodes.
Oh here's another HUGE difference. Mello is a f-ing puppet! And Near is the nut job puppet muster! :?

Yeah, watched an episode of that on late night TV during my stay in Japan this summer. (Came home last friday)
First impression: What the flying spaghetti monster.
Lasting impression: See first.

Another one that I saw which left a fairly good impression on me was Gate.
And it was also nice to see another episode of this one during my stay in Sapporo:

Know about it, haven't started it yet, because I haven't read the manga nor watched the anime.

I want to see Prison School uncensored because I bet the censorship is making a mountain out of a molehill, knowing the censorship in Japan.

Yeah my friend told me to watch GATE again, the second episode has peaked my interested so I'll put it in the backlog of series to watch.

You haven't seen the original Death Note? WHAAAAAAAAAAAA~~~?!! :? I'm really quite enjoying the drama series, they've had to chop it up a bit but they're mostly sticking to the original. They've kinda made a comic relief between two of the police characters and Ryuuk is more comic relief-y as well, guess trying to lighten the tone a little considering how dark it is. Light is also less successful, he gets away with stuff due to dumb luck at times and his expressions and reactions really give it away but hey it's a drama so they have to ham it up I suppose :P

Girls und Panzer yay, think that's episode 10.5? I downloaded that and still have to watch it.

That's a big keg of beer, one per table?

It's not quite the censorship wit this one, the series just doesn't make sense to me.

Not sure which ep that was, just zapped by it, and watched an episode of Arpeggio of Blue Steel after before going to sleep.
I have the Blu Ray at home, as well as the OVA, which I still need to watch.

Naw, that was one three liter keg devided between two travel mates and myself on a chill afternoon.
They also had 5 liter kegs, but we found that to be a bit too much for the three of us. :2thumb:

There's not an awful lot to Prison School; girls school recently turned co-ed, boys get caught peeping on the girls baths and rather than being expelled they get sent to "prison" because reasons, the student council then plots to have them expelled so the school can go back to being all-girls. Eventually the plot becomes public and there's a big role reversal with the boys getting set free and the student council getting sent to "prison" with a new student council in tow. And that's how the series ends, I'm looking forward to the next one :D

So the Death Note live action drama, I really enjoyed it, probably not as much as the live action movies and obviously not as much as the anime. It really departs from the manga/anime when L dies (if you don't know that by now it's your own fault :P). There's also a new movie coming out next year, can't have enough Death Note

Season coming to an end, sad to see Ore Monogatari finish, glad it turned in to a half year season.
