Re: TP
example if i gain 300 TP with a sword could I swich to a club to use /ws "Starlight" <me> to restore my MP? I know it's only your example, but... even if this were possible, Starlight doesn't give you a lot of MP. I only get about 20MP at 100% TP. It's really only useful in desperate situ...

You can do the Yhoat one solo... but it will take you a very very very very long time to win the fight against a single lizard as a white mage. And if it petrifies you when you're really low on health it may actually kill you :( Getting the scroll from Fei'Yin isn't too bad. Since everyone can get t...

um not to sound rude or anything but..... just do the quest. I completely agree. I quested for all six teleport spells I have... With one slight exception... I did buy Teleport-Altep in order to raise a friend member who had died in the Altepa desert and I had to reach him before his timer wore off...

WTF? :?: Don't take the bait. Colbwa is a troll who's only sad pleasure in life is to stir things up and generate reply posts. Ignore him. He only feeds on attention. If he's ignored, he'll get bored and find another forum to bug. Don't worry about the veiled threat to hack the fourm. If he knew ho...

I think elves pose strangely for everything from casting spells to shooting bows because they were designed to look awkward and graceless (in keeping with their racial traits). However, their awkward poses often look more cool because they're slightly off. ;) Elves casting ninjitsu look like Elvis s...

White mages are the preferred healer until level 41. After that, Red Mages steal the show since not only can they heal, but they have Refresh and Convert which reduces downtime. If the red mage subs white mage, they'll get many of the ailment cures like Poisona too. Once you reach 56, though, white ...

There is something I've wanted to try, and I'm not sure how well it will work. The unexpectedly useful ninja/mage! :D The downside to the ninja mage is that it's extremely expensive because of the amount of tools you'll need to buy, and 95% of people won't take you seriously at all, let alone as a t...

The odds on consecutive rolls mean NOTHING. Each roll is in its own little univerise, isolated from each and every other roll you have ever made. Had you rolled again the odds of winning would STILL be 4 in 10. In this case they do. You're betting that you'll win before you run out of money, not th...

I'd encourage you to experiment with all these jobs you've mentioned, Josiejo. The nice thing about this game is the subjob system rewards your exploration into other jobs. I'm very mage-centered, and thanks to trying out all four mage jobs (not counting bard), I can mix and match all sorts of combi...

I'm pretty sure gambling with gil is against the rules (excluding Square's own gambling NPCs). So even if you try to get a casino operator in trouble for not paying up your winnings, you're liable to get into trouble yourself for even participating. Not only that, but anyone who sets up a casino is ...

I guess the turn-off to Warrior (and what must attribute to their underestimation) is the fact that a Warrior is just plain basic. Yeah, I think that's why it's so underestimated. People use Warrior just to get to 30 as a means to get the advanced job they really want, never realizing what potentia...

In that case have you considered taking WAR all the way? The WAR is mostly a Damage Dealer and Secondary tank at later levels. Shield not required. At level 22 the WAR/NIN can Blink Tank using a Greataxe or two Axes. The Fighter's Lorica on a Mithra will turn heads. I agree with Tsybil. Warrior is ...

If gear has +VIT, you want to wear it. If you cannot find +VIT for a slot, try +Acc, MPs, or Evasion. Oh yeah, that's something I forgot to mention  As a Paladin you're there to take a pounding, not deal one. So, buy armor that raises defense and Vitality. If you can afford it, Stamina Rings ...

I leveled Paladin to 30 and I think the experience has actually made me a better white mage when it comes to understanding how monster hate works. There are differing opinions on this, but I've felt it's the Paladin's job to keep the monster focused on herself, no matter what, so it doesn't fight an...
