Beat Promyvion-Dem last night, did it half-asleep too, basically. Party was WAR/NINx2, BLM/WHM, WHM/BLM, MNK/WAR, RNG/NIN. 2 animas used, broke the record on the boss. The behavior of the puppet and the fact that I have yet to see its damage be anything outstanding still makes me have trouble considering PUP a useful job and not a gimmick.

Then again, I also don't like it when people compare them to MNKs.

It's not that I don't want to help others, because I do. The problem is that I'm Lv50 and a MNK. When was the last time you asked a Lv50 MNK for help with something? Mission 5-1? Okay, but after that?

RNG has B in Axe so why don't they melee? What would you say to a BRD who doesn't give the mages ballad or the melees their songs? It's essentially the same thing. It's good but sooooo expensive. The only ranged weapons you can equip are guns, and you'll be expected to pull with them. Also, you'll need to keep stocked up on elemental cards after you get the Quick Draw ability at Level... 40 I think.

I personally like the look of the Noct gear, but that's just me. Then again, I mostly only wear stylish stuff in towns and keep my partying stuff on me as well. It is a pretty cool outfit though, not to mention highly practical for a RNG like myself.
