Actually, probably the only way you can 'type' japanese characters into FFXI is either by: A) Finding a japanese keyboard and adding dual KB support B) Fonetics as described earlier. Now, I can doubt that you could even insert a JP character into the North American version of FFXI, as it won't recog...
