Ahh, so you're saying she intentionally left you out of the list? Now I *am* suspecting a conspiracy...

Seriously though, it is interesting to see so many 'A' -names. Can't help but wonder what a psychologist would have to say about it? Maybe I am just too fascinated about the science behind human behaviour. Yes, I actually seriously ponder these things most of the time...

Being nocturnal my names are the common names of two stars.

As the Islamic world was the center of science while the Europeans were still too low tech to even have the inquisition, many stars have Arabic names. Al = the in Arabic (at least when transliterated into the Roman alphabet), there are one **** of a lot of stars who's names start with that Al. The reason why my last name is not Algol is it translates to "The Ghoul". I considered it for alteration anyway.

The arabs in turn had preserved much of Greek knowledge and culture. It would take christian Romans to finish the job that the mongols started in destroying this treasure trove. Somewhat ironic that in modern times, the roles seem to have reversed. Hence my name ^-^. While aria is from modern italian, asphe is the name of an ancient semitic goddess of light. The past leads the future.
