I'm involved in an FFXI d20 Table Top RPG. And our group went spelunking
Ryloth: Fire IV! Take that you undead skeleton thing.....
Kaoru: Ryloth....
Ryloth: Ya?
Kaoru: My Tail is not an Undead Draugar!!!!
Ryloth: Whoops~ Water IV!
Kaoru: . . . . .
Ryloth: Hey~ Wet Pu....
Kaoru: DON'T EVEN GO THERE!
I was trying to be "pissed off" for my character amidst my fits of laughter xD

I'm curious as to the mechanics you're using for this RPG. I don't suppose there's any chance you could email them my way, or if they're online somewhere? A Vana'diel tabletop RPG is an idea that's had my interest for quite some time, and I'd been thinking of making up rules for it but never put forth the effort to... this has definitely caught my interest.

I'll talk to my brother to ask if he'll make the rules dumbed down so I can explain them easier. Basically we use the d20 system.

I'm a d20 vet... what I want to know is the classes / races / abilities / feats / gear / specific mechanics (like MP or modified damage calculations) you're using to make it FFXI instead of just D&D or D20 Modern or Star Wards d20
If you have a file of the additional rules you use, that would be amazing. =^.^=

Well we kinda took XI's rules and adapted them. Jobs/Subjobs/and a third optional class. I went War/Nin/Pup for this one. Subjobs still halved of Main Job and Optional Class is halved of the Subjob. We also elminated Job Exclusive WS. It was my protest for pup not being given Asuran Fists because SE despite saying it was our main weapon, nerfed us on it. Most Gear contains modifiers like normal, but if you want to equip multiple earrings go ahead, well for us anyways. Being a d20 Game we can make mobs match our uberness in terms of Uberness.
