After WEEKS of trying I finally got the melee kitty's DNC up to currently acceptable subjob levels, well 46 actually.

All I can say is SAM/DNC with Haste Samba and Reverse Flourish is going to be SOOOOO.... much fun.

In the "I don't have enough to level dept" I got BST to 30, then with two decent Abyssea parties, I'm level 75. Had to skill for over an hour to at least get Rampage, but with some accuracy Atmas, I should be able to skill more inside Abyssea, as soon as I get those cool sheep and ladybug pets.

I ended up working for the Cloak and Dagger Atma, but until I have capped evasion, which I've never had, I won't know how good it is. Hopefully the new skill up rates will help with that.

I'm 1/9 on mega boss kills, and no cactus kills yet. Need to find more groups doing these.

My first HQ AF3 is almost complete. I have 8/8 Charis Leg seals, but I need to actually pick up the legs (with my 1009 Bastion Credits) and then trade them in. Excited!

Miqo'te work abounds!

The Mithra on the other hand, has been getting a vacation.

Still, ranked up so much crap on the Miqo'te that I may as well just point to my siggie. Phys level 27 already tho, and only been playin like...a week or two? o.O;

Current goal... get to max level... as my main job summoner...
Just recently broke level cap from 75 - 80 (yeah, i'm just a bit behind..)

Since starting my own linkshell to play in Abyssea, I'm getting quite a lot done. I have 7 wins now, 3 cats down, and MM Atma to add to my collection. Dancer is 4/5, but still no body seals. SE made dancer body hard to get, relatively.

I'm hoping to get Shinryu access by this weekend.

Smacked Shinryu around a bunch. Still want a dagger, but otherwise it was a lot of fun.

Overdue update:

Scored 4 4th level prizes in the Mog Bonanza!

I got a Merciful Cape and an Altruistic Cape which together is +5 skill to anything a mage might do with magic. Downside... a full rewrite of my macros to a totally new scheme incorporating much page swapping.

As one of the 4ths was on the melee kitty she got an Adamantoise Egg, not mailable within the account, and the Love Torque for its polearm skill.

Less than 2 weeks later a LS member passed her the Wurm Beard and after much slaughtering of Yagudo, she now has the Black Belt. Also since the last report MNK 90 and Asuran Fists.

Look into Spellcast, it may look hard to work with at start but there are tons of ready to use xml out there in which the only thing you'll have to change is your own gear.
You don't need to be a programmer to be able to use this.

Besides that it gives you a good comparison to what gear other people use for specific actions.
There are also a few other things which spellcast can do and macros can't but I won't go into that yet.

Getting 5ths is easy. And with 8 sets of marbles getting one 4th isn't a real trick.

4 4ths is like 50% on 8 1/100 chances. My game theory is way too rusty to determine if that is more or less probable than a first. Easier to figure out who gets what by far though.

Spellcast required the windower last I heard. Having resisted using it this long, I think I shall continue. I have heard lots of stuff about Spellcast though. Most of it good, some rather impressive.

As for the marbles, I only play Bonanza with one character and let the Moogle pick 8 of the numbers.

I always use all my characters and mules for the marbles and pick the last digit making sure each one will get a 5th prize*. Then again, I like a lot of the little gambling games in XI. (A bit disappointed at the economy's nerfing of the Strange Apparatus.) When I had a second account I think I had 15 marble sets.....

*My games theory is so rusty I honestly can't even remember how to set up the equations that would tell me just how my odds for better prizes are hurt by selecting for a 5th. Or if they would be.

I won't deviate from the 1 character thing.
Sure my chances of winning are smaller than one that uses many characters, but I really don't care about that.

The fun part about it is the gambling, and one lesson I learned through my relatives (my genes have an addictive personality) when gambling watch what you spend.
Sometimes I get lucky and win a rank 4 or even 3 like the last 2 bonanzas which netted me my Astute cape (screw you Ix'DRG!!) and an Empress hairpin.
Now 3 rank 5 prizes.

Good? Not awesome, but then again I've read about people getting marbles on 5+ characters getting (excuse my Dutch) jack sh*t.
I know gil is a novelty these days, but I'd rather spend my gil on things I need instead of spending it all on a gamble and ragequitting because in the end I ended up with nothing.
Especially since you have to spend a few weeks strugling for space because of these damned marbles, and yes all my inventory and storage spaces are maxed out.

Mules are worth it for the storage if nothing else. I couldn't operate without mine.

That is great luck for one character's marbles, congrats! With all my mules I have gotten one 3rd and 3 - 4 4ths before this bonanza. And the 4ths were not good for much then.

I don't gamble IRL. I have friends who are into poker long and big time. One once told me "When I win, the money is not allowed to stay in my pocket for 24 hours, but when I loose its the rent and utilities."

I have a few mules, but the thing is the jobs I use most nearly all use above 60 inventory slots for gear/tools alone.
WHM being the winner carrying 73 items of basic gear, meds and melee gear not included.
And most of it is ex.

Now muling would take care of the gear for a job I play like once a month or so but aside from ninja I swap to one of my other jobs at least once a week.
Then again I am in the process of cleaning out my mog selling the gear I have absolutely no need for anymore on any job I play.

Got back into FFXI.

Blasted WHM and SAM to level 90. Squeezing in a few merits.

Capped GKT merits, Evasion Merits, put 4 into Dagger.

Placed a few into MP. Forgot where I placed the rest. xD

I love Abyssea.

Solo'd 9-1 and 9-2 Bastok missions.
Broke the clear time record on 9-2 against a party of 6. (wut?!)
Off to the land of cats and midgets now~

And finished my Summoner +2 set.

Me, RDM 99, all the subs I care about 50 (see siggy). A big thank you to my LS for letting me parasite 3 mage jobs to 50 in a LS Abyssea party. Got DRK and NIN up the hard way.

Next??? IDK, maybe /THF, /WAR, and /BLU. Definitely working on Goldsmithing and getting Sword and Dagger up to merit Weapon Skill level. Occasionally working on Club and Shield skill. Thinking about maybe unlocking PLD for another sub.

Melee kitty: SAM 99, Domaru and shoes +2, Clothcraft 100. Tachi: Showa 5/5. Voidwatch Jeuno T4. Working on her Goldsmithing and subs.

Staff Alchemist hit 100. Going to work on her Goldsmithing and Smithing.

And I am honestly having too much fun and interest in XI to do much in XIV at all.

8 farming sessions later (4 to 10 hours each, mind you!)
