Troll. I've heard this title used many times and it seems that every time I hear it, it's used a little differently. I've heard it in reference to bots, selfish players, campers, flamers, gil sellers, rude people, etc, etc, etc. A saying I come across often is, “Don’t feed the trolls.” So, what, or who, exactly is a Troll? (Other than a person that somebody apparently doesn’t like.) Anybody know where, or how, the term got started?

The term troll is short for troller. Someone who trolls the forums looking to insite other members with a loaded post.

On another forum I mod I was given the title of Board Troll. Funny because I visit those baords only once or twice a week.

Actually the term for that is Lurker. Trolls are intentionally rabble rousing.
