Sorry

I'm sorry to everyone (especially Keavy) that I haven't been in months. I've been dealing with some medical issues where I don't have access to my Xbox 360. I hope everyone will forgive me.

p.s. I'm not sure whether I'll keep my account or not, because I could use some extra cash right now.

I was wondering what happened to you.

Hope you're doing better and I wanted to let you (and everyone else know) I may be leaving Phoenix.

I'm trying out some other servers and when I make my decision I'll let you all know.

Sorry I hijacked your thread but I didn't want to create a new one just for that.

(Sorry for continuing the high-jack)

Come to Leviathan! We got white powah! And Cookies![/endjacking]

Its alright Rishutlaw. If the extra ~$15 will help your situation, save the money. FFXI will be around for a long time.

If I'm accepted into the LBR linkshell there, I will be going to Odin.

I'm not sure if I'll leave Pheonix or not. I want to leave because I can never get a party for anything, but I want to stay because my bro has a lot of friends who give him free cash.

F*** Odin.

Their Windy is a 3rd place ghost town.

If I can't find any place better I'll stay put. After spending so much time in Phoenix's highly populated and almost always first place Windurst I cannot accept anything less.

Well I cant say Remora's Windy is heavily populated but we're nearly always in first place :D

As a Ginger Cookie addict things like that matter.

I...I gotta get my fix, man.

I'm giving Phoenix until the end of the year. If I still hate it there and want to quit, I'll move.

But not to Odin. Their Windurst should be renamed Freddurst.

Maybe it's best that I never tried that stuff.

Yeah...that Mithra in the hotel got me hooked. I was looking for a pickling stone for the Taru when she called out to me. She's like "Hey, you're a mage, right? Looking for some extra +hMP, right? I got what you need right here. +6hMP for three minutes and they're 10 Gil each but the first taste is free."

Reluctantly, I took a bite. The flavor! The feeling rushing through my body! The faster recovery while healing! I bought a stack right then and there.

Oh, and there's nothing worse than when Windurst is in second or...third. 2-3K a stack on the AH! Insanity, I say but...what you gonna do? She can't get her supply so you gotta pay. You gotta have the cookies.

Man, when I think about all the gil I've given her and all the things I could have bought...*Munches on a Ginger Cookie* Thank God I haven't moved over to Wizard Cookies. 16K a stack! I can barely afford my Ginger habit. Wizard would wipe me out and leave me tele-whoring for my next fix.

For me it was the carnival troupe- the leader is the one who got me hooked and while I suppose I could visit him in Bastok or Sandy when he's there- I hate making that extra trip for my fix.

That's the good thing about being a RDM. You rest so rarely that a stack of Wizard Cookies lasts months.

Breadzels on the other hand.... Nothing gets me ready for a Convert like a nice salty Breadzel, sold in Lastock only when they are in first place..... Fortunately I cook.

Party? What is this concept "party"? Solo only ftw!

I munch cookies almost exclusively since my 'vert ratio is already maxed with my current gear set and the times I do party are usually in sitiautions where I can steal a few seconds every so often to rest,

Good News

Sorry to say but I'm taking my thread back.

I know a couple days ago I said that I might be giving up FFXI to save money. Well I've made up my mind.

Instead of quitting FFXI and leaving my few friends behind, I've decided to purchase FFXI for my laptop and continue playing. My brother and I will soon be able to play at the same time as one-another. To pay for the additional acount I've decided to aply for jobs that will give me the kind of cash that I will need.

By Thanksgiving I will be deleting Rish and making a new character (yes it will still be a mithra) and starting over from scratch.

My bro will be training me with his 30mnk, 24 Whm, and 20 Drg as much as he can, but any additional help will be much appreciated in Pheonix (yes I'm not leaving because pheonix has been so kind to me).

 Sorry about that.

Its always a bit sad to hear when a kitty decides to leave- so glad you're able to stay!

Keavy's probably the best source for in-Phoenix news/updates- but things have stayed pretty much the same since you left I think. The economy continues to fall- more than it should imo, but anyway- and the 2h update made sam the current bandwagon job but that's about it really. Well, that and everyone's excited about the new exp- but I'm sure you already knew about that :)

Actually I don't really have any knowledge of what has happened until about 3 days ago.

Well I can't help you on that server, but I can say...
For all you ginger cookie addicts:
GET A DREAM HAT +1
As summoner, I too have an addiction, but mine does not cost me a thing.
I put on my silly santa hat, wait... use... *poof* between 1 and 9 cookies appears. I use it once a day :3 I never run out of cookies 8)

I have one, and I love it- but I go through on average 20-50 cookies a day when I'm really maging it up on RDM so the dream hat really doesn't keep me in cookies too well.

Alright my new profile's name is Kiraku. I'm currently a lvl 10 mnk, who should be heading to the dunes soon.

Well I hope your 360 gets fixed soon because I've already had two failing parties in the dunes.

Box came today and it looks like my concerns over slow shipping due to the holidays were taken seriously. They gave me overnight shipping :)

So best case scenario I could have my 360 back by the end of the week.

[quote="ScarlettPheonix"] The 2h update made sam the current bandwagon job but that's about it really. quote]

And here I thought sam got nerfed like us drk. Also DRG has been suffering from lower dmg output on Mamools like us DRK. As for SAM I dunno.

Btw Scarlett do you know by chance if RDM recieved any recent updates?

...look at the date on my post PH. I wrote that the day before the update, so at the time it was true.

No, nothing new really specifically for RDM. Dancer is looking like it could be a fairly interesting dd sub for us but with the exception of access to Drain, Aspir and Regen II at the same time, Scholar is looking fairly meh as a sub-job choice.

I haven't heard too much about how its working as a main, it just hasn't been as popular out of the gate on my server as DNC is.

I've seen more dancers on pheonix than I care to count. Meanwhile I've only seen a handful of scholars the highest being Harrypotter at lvl 23.

Currently my bro is leveling Drg and he doesn't seem to notice a lack of damage output.

I haven't heard anything about monks, so hopefully nothing bad will happen to us.

I plan on leveling SCH when I get back. DNC maybe after BLU.

Well, depending on how soon you get back, we may be able to level together.

You're just lucky that you don't have school to worry about (I assume). Right now I can play Wednesday night through Sunday morning if I have to, but it does have drawbacks on my mood and performance.

I'm looking forward to winter break which is in like 3 weeks. Then I'll be playing almost 24/7.
