Swipes™ Highly amusing, good-quality-fun banter II

Post by Swipe »

Hiya!

Here is my new banter thread! The frist one can be found here.

Let's start this off with a bang!

I recently watched a clip of what is probably the most convincing puppet I've ever seen. This guy definetly deserves his tips, and probably does pretty well in his performances (as you'll see why.)

Here is the video.
This clip is 18.84 Megabytes large, and is in a streaming media format.
Feel free to download the file, but please don't link directly to it without discussing it with me first.

My hat's off to the gentleman.. he's got skills.

That's great! I laughed the whole way through. I thought it was cute how he'd clack his teeth at people when they walked by. Checking out the tip bag was funny too. Did you see what he did when those two young girls walked by?

What's really freaky is that the strings can't be seen.

Glad you cats enjoyed it =)

I was surfing the web, and I came across what appears to be Klenath's website. On his website has a link that is marked something like "what every gamer aspires to be"

Dunno if it was posted anywhere else.. but I downloaded it from his server and put it on mine, rather than link directly (bandwith theft is just not nice :) )

Anyway, here is the streaming video. It is sorta big at 5.8 megabytes, so depending on your connection, this may take a minute to play. Includes audio.

Enjoy!

My media player is acting up.. so I'll check the linky at work tomorrow :D

After EW quest.. I went to go level up my level 11 warrior. Took us quite a while to get organized...

After like 4 hours of very crappy game play.. (we died many times.. the leader was a complete idiot who lacked basic communication skills...) Me and a fellow mithra pride member went off on our own. We did much better.. but finally got our butts whipped by a silly little Grass Fungar.

Don't we look so comfy and cute?
Image

Ah! somone finally showed up to raise us!
Image

When the guy arrived and raised us.. we had already cried on the shell and had sygn coming out to help us... she was quite put out when we told her somone else already raised us :(

But don't worry.. I'll send you a stack of cotton for the effort and trouble! =^ . ^=

I always have to make post-screnshot modifications. If you have a recent copy of Photoshop (or something similar) than this shouldn't be a problem. In any Photoshop version 5.0 or higher, just open the image, then press

alt+shift+ctrl+L

That will auto-adjust the brightness of the image, making it look much brigher clearer. :)

If you don't have photoshop, or use a different graphical editing program.. lemme know the name and I'll try to give you some basic steps that can clean up those screens and make 'em look like they do in the game. 8)

I guess this kitty doesn't want to be adopted... I almost feel sorry for the guy.. but aparently he doesn't know how do deal with an upset kitty cat.

Here is the movie. It's nearly 2 megabytes of streaming audio and video.

And wtf is that lady doing with the box? dumbass!
(you'll see what I mean.)

At any rate.. Go Pinkey! (that's the cat's name)

Martha Stuart vs Maxine the cartoon character

Martha's Way Stuff a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of a sugar cone to prevent ice cream drips.
Maxine's Way Just suck the ice cream out of the bottom of the cone, for Pete's sake! You are probably lying on the couch with your feet up eating it, anyway!

Martha's Way To keep potatoes from budding, place an apple in the bag with the potatoes.
Maxine's Way Buy Hungry Jack mashed potato mix and keep it in the pantry for up to a year.

Martha's Way When a cake recipe calls for flouring the baking pan, use a bit of the dry cake mix instead and there won't be any white mess on the outside of the cake
Maxine's Way Go to the bakery! They'll even decorate it for you.

Martha's Way If you accidentally oversalt a dish while it's still cooking, drop in a peeled potato and it will absorb the excess salt for an instant "fix-me-up."
Maxine's Way If you oversalt a dish while you are cooking, that's too bad. Please recite with me the real woman's motto: "I made it and you will eat it and I don't care how bad it tastes!"

Martha's Way Wrap celery in aluminum foil when putting in the refrigerator and it will keep for weeks.
Maxine's Way Celery? Never heard of it!

Martha's Way Brush some beaten egg white over pie crust before baking to yield a beautiful glossy finish.
Maxine's Way The Mrs. Smith frozen pie directions do not include brushing egg whites over the crust so I don't.

Martha's Way Cure for headaches: take a lime, cut it in half and rub it on your forehead. The throbbing will go away.
Maxine's Way Take a lime, mix it with tequila, chill and drink!

Martha's Way If you have a problem opening jars, try using latex dishwashing gloves. They give a non-slip grip that makes opening jars easy.
Maxine's Way Go ask that very cute neighbor if he can open it for you.

Martha's Way Don't throw out all that leftover wine. Freeze into ice cubes for future use in casseroles and sauces.
Maxine's Way Leftover wine???????? HEL-LO !!!!!

Just got this notice:

"Warning to all dog owners : Watch your dog!

Some vicious killer has been shooting dogs at random! Dogs are being
picked off one at a time, and the numbers of deaths are mounting.

Police in the state advise all dog owners to "Watch your Dog".

The photo attached came from a collie breeder in Salem..... a killer
caught in a careless moment.

Regardless of what breed we have, we can't be too careful."

Here is a snapshot of the killer:

Well Rayn and I have two cats.. (and when I say "ours" I actually mean they're her cats... but I've helped her raise them.. which, because I'm Swipe.. might be a dangerous thing...)

Kizzy - a silver tabby, was rescued as a sickly feral kitten. (feral means she was found in the wild.) She would have died from some diseases if we hadn't taken care of her.

Sam - A flame-tip siamese, was adopted through the petsmart adoption group.

Kizzy was a cute li'l kitten
(sorry for the sloppy pic.. had a terrible camera and this one turned out the best.. heh)
Image

Well.. as she got bigger, I spent a lot of time teaching her how to play fetch, and other things to give her a dog-like mentality. She will greet me and forestrain at the door, with her tail wagging when we come home. She doesnt have the vocal cords of a dog, though that's not stopped me from trying to teach her how to bark.. instead she meows and 'talks' a lot (most cats are fairly quiet.. this one 'talks' when being talked to.. much like a dog does when you have its attention and ask it a question.)

Kizzy acting like a dog:
Image

Kizzy, sprawled out like a dog:
Image
Image

Rayn had a dish full of hershey's kisses, but for some reason they kept disappearing! We finally found the culprit! It was Kizzy!
She doesnt really go for the chocolate.. but found them to be great toys. Even now, we still sometimes come across a hershy's kiss thats riddled with cat claw and teeth punctures in the wrapper.
Image

Kizzy has an imagination too. Here she is, pretending to be a plant monster:
Image
We told her to get out of the pot.. but she just ignored us!
Image
Well.. guess you can't get all of the cattyness out of a cat. :D I did my best.

What a silly cat! I've trained her well ^_^
Image

As for Sam, every time I try to start teaching him how to play fetch, Kizzy comes rushing in and gets the toy instead... so I've given up on having two cat-dogs. Since sam is newer to our 'family' we dont yet have many pictures of him
Image

Sadly, I'm allergic to cats. Kizzy doesnt effect me much at all, but there's something different about Sam.. He makes my eyes itch, burn, and water up, makes me very stuffed up and generally miserable. Its sad, because I know he wants to play with me more.. but I cant stand to.
Image
Kizzy gets spoiled... but, in spite of that, Sam's still a pretty content kitty with the attention he gets from Rayn
Image

Both cats are strictly indoor cats... as outdoor cats can make allergies much worse. We named him sam because of his colors.. red, white, and blue. We often referr to sam as 'the Blanket Monster' because he really likes to sleep under blankets. you'd think he'd get hot with all that fur.. but he doesnt seem to mind at all.

Just imagine my suprise when I roll over in bed and get an unexpected face full of white fur.

Aww!!!!

The part about Kizzy stealing the Hershey's kisses makes me think of how my cat Snickers liked to steal the small pinecones out of a dish of potpourri in my bedroom. She liked to carry them around in her mouth (yes, like a dog) and bat them around the kitchen floor. I usually found 5-7 pinecones piled up under the dishwasher every now and then, because she'd knock them under there and would not be able to get them out.
