ugh, okay, I was GONNA copy/paste it from the site, but the ehh...non-allowable html coding kinda screws it all up. ><;
EDIT:Give me like 10-15 minutes to work it all out and respace/move everything around so it's readable, and I'll get it pasted over. ^^
RE-EDIT:There ya go, now I just gotta go back through and prettify it so it's
completely readable.
RE-RE-EDIT: GAH!! the typing of the i's and the brackets!
Merit point job categories have become available for blue mages, corsairs, and puppetmasters.
In order to take advantage of merit points spent in these areas, a character must have the corresponding job set as the main job, and be level 75.

Chain Affinity Recast
Burst Affinity Recast
Monster Correlation

Magical Accuracy
Corsair
Phantom Roll Recast

The 15 existing job categories have been divided into subcategories. Group 1 includes conventional abilities, while Group 2 includes the new job abilities, job traits, and spells.
The Group 1 and Group 2 subcategories have separate totals for the maximum number of possible ability increases.
You can access Group 2 abilities by spending 1 point on the ability you wish to learn. Additional points spent on the same ability will shorten the recast time or enhance the effect (refer to the help text for each ability to learn the specific bonus).
Lowering the number of merit points in an ability to zero will cause it to disappear from your ability list.
After obtaining the dragoon job trait "Empathy," you will be able to use the job ability "Spirit Link" even when your wyvern is at maximum HP.

Hey, thanks kintrra!
Hmm...it looks fine, that's exactly what's on the POL site. Thought there might have been another update note or post I hadn't seen from Sugami's reaction.
Sugami, why are you saying DRGs are getting shafted when you don't know how the new abilities and triats will work out?

by Sugami
The pictures of the new abilities and traits descriptions have been removed

However I remember what the DRG one's are supposed to do;
Traits
Empathy - Gives wyvern possitive status effects when using Spirit Link.
Strafe - Increases wyvern's breath accuracy.
Abilities
Deep Breathing - Increases potency of wyvern's next breath attack.
Angon - Expends an angon to decrease target's defense.
Can anyone say "big f**king woo"?

Ahh I see now.
I don't know, but the Angon ability sounds really useful. If it stacks with Dia and has a reasonable recast time then it certainly has some use.

Yes and you know what would be better? IF THEY DIDN'T GIVE THEY SAME F**KING ABILITY TO F**KING WAR!!!
So no people won't be saying, "let's get a DRG 'cause of Angon they can drop the mob's DEF." They'll be saying, "screw DRG, WAR has the exact same f**king thing and is horribly overpowered to boot!"
Strafe... just why? The accuracy is horribly low we shouldn't need to merit it to make it up to standard and Deep Breathing had better be a big f**king boost but it won't matter 'cause it'll get resisted anyway!!!
You can tell I'm upset about this...

OK kids, its official: PUP is DRG for Monk. Even the Artifact Weapon sucks!
Posted: Tue Jul 25, 2006 3:19 pm
by ScarlettPheonix
Artifact weapons usually do suck...or at least there's a better weapon available at that level.
But then I keep my RDM AF weapon around to have something for level capped events so I'll just be quiet.

lolAnimator but their AF armour is pretty good. COR gun is pretty good for the level I think, I've already got it

But again, it all boosts the pet. It doesn't make sense to me, unless PUP is meant to be played like a BST.

Well it is Puppet
master afterall. Personally I think it should be played like a reverse-DRG (main damage from pet and small damage from master) but the AI is just too stupid for it to work like that apparently.
Still with a C skill not going to do much, compare it with a BST who has A in Axe and rock hard pets... only difference is BST are soro-whores

Just discovered this: Now Gausebit Grass (The stuff you feed to the sick chocobo for your license) is now stackable.
This may be related to the Chocobo Raising.

Wildgrass seed. That is related to Chocobo Raising.

Well, as soon as I get back from a trip I'm on I'll get back to leveling and see if lolAnimator is any good.
At any rate, it IS better than the one I have now.
Probably not much better though.

I guess it gives perma-haste to the Automaton.

Think it makes it do what you tell it to almost instantly instead of waiting 10 seconds, really something it should have done from the start.

So it'll give Koumei (My auto) a few more brains? WOOHOO!

Taken from the PUP forums:
The Turbo Animator makes your Automaton act more quickly (E.G. lower recast time on ability attachments, faster time betweens pell casts, lower delay on ranged attacks, faster melee attacks, etc.)
From what I've gathered so far, I know my Ken casts more frequently and Flash goes off more often.
It seems to take care of quite a few problems PUP used to have, should lead to higher damage and better overall DoT. However unless they bust out a 1K+ WS the lolPUP stigma will always remain.
