RMT Countermeasures

Recently, a number of accounts which were confirmed to have violated the the user agreement by using unauthorized third-party software tools were discovered and have been permanently suspended.

Since the middle of May, 2006, the development team and the GMs carried out a detailed investigation of this problem, and discovered the existence of a group using illicit methods to produce large amounts of gil that are later sold in the real world (Real Money Trading). We would like to take this opportunity to outline the measures that have been taken to correct this issue.

Based on the results of this investigation, more than 250 accounts among those found to be involved in large-scale RMT operations have been terminated. We will continue to monitor accounts suspected of dealing in gil created or obtained in an unfair manner. Thanks to these measures, more than 250 billion gil has been removed from circulation.

As has been previously stated, acts of RMT will not be tolerated in FINAL FANTASY XI, and any violations of the user agreement will be dealt with severely. We would like to assure our players that all efforts are being made to ensure a fair playing experience.

We hope to have your continuing understanding and cooperation in creating a Vana'diel that everyone can enjoy

So about 8,333,333,333 gil removed from each server. Not bad, not bad at all.

*Breathes a sigh of relief*

I was so scared! I thought SE was gonna bust my "Galkas Gone Wild" DVD distribution warehouse when they took down the RMT operation in the Mog House next to mine.

Just hit up Google and you'll find a bunch.

Making animations like that isn't hard with Model Viewer, I could do it easily enough I s'pose. ^^;;

It isn't hard but it takes a really long time, that looks like a screen capture for every frame and for dragon kick looking at 70+ frames hehe

Trust me, if you're not wanting to put it on a background it's not even really all that hard. Model Viewer allows you to do the animations frame by frame. 1st frame, F11 to screenshot, 2nd frame, F11, 3rd, etc, etc. Then just open'em all up in either ImageReady or Animation Shop, and put'em in order. ^^

I imagine Sugami's took a while but it is cool so I say in the end it was worth it.

Mine didn't take that long, only a few screen captures and some filters on the background and boom.

I've animated WS doodars before taking screen captures every 2, 3 and 5 frames and it is very time consuming. Resizing, moving into position etc. etc. not to mention the end result is a very large file :P

And thanks :)

Here's an example kinda mix of fading in and out with animating a WS (Blade: Rin or Ein)

Image

this one all just WS and it took me a whole week and in the end just too much going on in it :(

:D Sank you. Doesn't really take much, just in depth knowledge of the programs, an idea and a little time and effort :)

The Ninja one is my best one I think, really love the fade into focus effect :D
