Okay, so my roommate's buddy came over to borrow MY computer (Its the only working one in the house at the moment) and he needed to download some stuff. Well, I didn't have enough open space on my hard drive so instead of hooking up my USB hard drive and downloading the files to that he DELETES MY MUSIC COLLECTION to make room!

Don't ask me why he deleted over 10 gigs of the best in kick-ass metal but he did. Oh, wait I know why: HE'S A F***ING MORON!!!

So now all I have metal-wise is what's on my iPod (Which is barely anything because I loaned it to a friend to use as a flash drive) and my buddy who borrowed my CD's so he could "Archive" them (You gotta have an off-site backup, right? :wink:) won't be back in town for another week so basically until my buddy gets back I won't be a heavy metal kitten.

Yes, that's right. I have to live with what the radio plays.

Pity me. PITY MEEE!!!

Oh, god. Its been ten minutes and I'm already going through withdrawals. I...I don't think I'm gonna make it...

Ok, deleting your music is just wrong. But aside from that, what the hell was he downloading that he needed to delete 10 gigs of music because there wasn't enough room? How much HDD space do you have total (free + used)?

Pictures and movies take up a lot of space, I shudder to think of just what pics and vids he downloaded.

Do a virus and spyware scan while you are at OK kitty?

My Mac is kinda old so the RAM and HDD are both pitiful in size.

Well, when he got on it it had 2 Gig's open on the internal HDD (It's a 40 Gig and about half of that is the OS and the preloaded crap I rarely use yet cannot delete. Rest is my music, my roommate's, and *Ahem* other stuff) and the external is an 80 Gig and it only had about 10 Gigs on it (Stuff my roommate backed up) and I tell everyone to use the external.

As for what he was downloading it was a bunch of PC games and Movies he found on a Torrent site. After burning them to DVD-R's he didn't even have the decency to delete them when he was done so I had to.

I've decided this weekend I'm gonna just do a complete wipe of the Internal HDD and reinstall everything. Whether or not I beat my roommate's friend depends on how drunk I get.

Ah, I see, that explains it. My PC is about 4 or 5 years old now I think. I bought mine with a 40 GB HDD too, but in my defense, I was on dial-up at the time. :oops: I ended up getting a 200 GB external that a friend gave me a year or two ago. At the time I bought my computer though, USB 2.0 was kind of new and not standard and I didn't get firewire either, so rather than using a "slow" 200 GB external, I removed the casing and installed it as a slave. I'm starting to worry about space now though, I've been archiving stuff on discs, but even so I've only got about 33 GB of free space left. :cry:

This looks nice though. I might just have to get me one of these. 8)

As was pointed out, I'm more concerned that he just decides to up and delete your stuff, period. You don't freakin BORROW a comp and just delete sh*t on it, you DEAL with it. >_<;

Crucify him! Crucify him!

That's why I don't let anyone touch my computer unless I'm right there hovering over them.
