My buddy quit FFXI. He had a lvl 75 Red Mage that me and him raised together (I got it from lvl 1 - 30 and he took it from 30 - 75) on Ifrit Server. He gave me the acount number and password, and told me I could either keep his char that me and him both worked on, or I could delete it. I can't decide what to do. For one, I don't want the character. I want to get lvl 75 rdm on my own. (although it was fun using his rdm to solo the shadow lord) but I just cant bring myself to delete it. What should I do?

Keep it, or sell it, if you can't delete it then sell or give it to somebody that will appreciate it.

Firstly sell all the valuables then you won't have to worry about money later
if you keep it then you're paying an extra month's fee over the top of your current one, I'd sell it might aswell make some money from it instead of losing money

Keep it.
If the character has WHM leveled into the teleport range and you have a second machine that alone is worthwhile. Heck, if the character has WHM leveled into the teleport range and you don't have a second machine, keep it and buy one. You would be surprised how obsolite a machine will run this game as long as you are not worried about graphic quality or combat lag.
A second account with mules on it is more than just handy.

I keep all my accounts on one PC... My server could run FFXI but I don't like to stress the dual CPUs.
