Chariot Band/Empress Band

I acquired a Chariot band...and now I want an Empress Band.

However, I know that if I have one, I can't have the other.

My question is this: If I drop the Chariot band, will I be able to get the Empress band then?

Yes, "you can only have one item of this type". They mean at one time.

Ran into someone on Garuda who had been dropping his Empress Band and getting another almost daily so he could use one twice in a day. He was bitterly disapointed that they fixed this exploit.

When it becomes time to refill one, it comes back ready for use, so you can use it twice in that day at least.
