Argh! Darn Update!

The update server is overloaded and I can't download the update. I can get as far as having it check all the files (1. Preparing Update), but when it comes to actually downloading the new files it says the server is busy and to try later. When I try again it starts over checking all the files again. >.<

I was gonna try to get to get my war to lvl 15 tonight.

KEEP TRYING! He must've hit retry thirty times, but it finally did go. At that, this is a biiig honkin' update, it's takin' about a hour to a hour and a half to download. And that's on our nice, fast, DSL.

I don't mean I couldn't do it. I mean it completely broke the game. I finished the update, and then went into play and saw this:
Latest version update failed.
Please reinstall FINAL FANTASY XI

It took me an hour to find my cd's, almost another to delete/install XI, and then four and a half hours to update.

I'm just glad I remembered to save my macros. ^^;

I need to re-order all my macros. Right now they're all pretty randomly placed across the bars.

Heh. My fiancee was trying to get the PS2 updated for me and finally got through an hour before I got of work. So I get home and see it's still downloading and decide it's prolly a good idea to get the PC updated too. Well once the PC finished checking files and started trying to DL the update I look over at the TV and see that it got disconnected. Bah! Took me another 30 mins to get back connected to finish the download. I ended up not updating the PC until afterwards. I thought I was out of the frying pan until I got killed twice in 2 different groups

I hate Valkrum.
