Sure do, I remember when the first one came out. The first game came out in the US the summer of 1990. The cover had an axe and a sword crossing with a glowing globe on its black Nintendo box.
I bet'cha I could find a ...

... there.

Er... yeah? I play the original FF on emulators now. I'd go grab a copy for NES, but I can't even find my NES right now.

I still have FF 1 on the NES, and the US FF 2 on the SNES, then I have FF 1 and FF 2 on the PSX in that anthologies, think it was 1 and 2. Don't own it on GBA though. I use FF 8 discs as coasters for my soda cans, and my FF 7, FF 9, FF 10, and FF 11 games are on a shelf of games hehehe

If you must know, combined with emulators, I have every FF game (of the numbered one) except FFVIII.
Everything Pre-VII I have on emulator. The rest is all hard copies.

I recently ordered a copy of Final Fantasy Chronicles, it has Chrono Trigger and FFIV on it (in the US FFIV was FFII for the SNES). I been playing FFIV lately when im not on FFXI. II love that game, its the one that really got me hooked, such a great storyline and memorable characters.

Everytime I play it I swear it takes me back... ok nuff mushy sentimental talk lol.

Combined with me and my brother, we have and have beaten all FF games. (Except 11, kinda hard to say you've beaten that...) The original game boy games, the NES, SNES, Playstation, etc. I've even whupped Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts recently. ^.^
Also, we have emulations of the JP release only games before they were re done and shipped over.
'Did you know'? The very first ever Dragoon appeared in FF2-J. His name is Richard/Ricard Highwind. He was the first to ever appear, but in the storyline, he was the last of his clan. He had a child with a regular human named Elena.....and their child? Kain. ^.^
Edit: And yes, FF8 rocked so much more then 9.

Lies! 9 was 8435926345357 times better than that coaster worthy 8. Only reason I kept 8 was because they wouldnt trade open games

The only reason you hate FF8 is cause you suck at it

Reasons why Final Fantasy 8 Will forever remain one of my all time Favorites...
1) Ragnarok
2) Omega Weapon fight ( This was one of the hardest Weapons in Any )
3) Rinoa and Squall, not the characters themselves but the interaction between them.

Someone please slap me until I play through all the Final Fanties because I have totally missed out on playing them.

Excuse? I don't think I have a legitemet one. I was but 3 years old when the first one came out according to that date >.> All I can say is that I was into other games than RPG's. I did play Super Mario RPG and beat it. Love that one. I really do want to get more into them but I don't feel I have time. Or I'm just probably whining about it too much. I think I'm too addicted to FFXI.
Well I think I practically have all the ROMS for the SNES Final Fantasies kicking around collecting dust. Now to get the ones for PSX which I have only scratched the surface of 7, 8, and 9. I do have a good PSX emulator

I have played a good chunk of 10 but probably no where close to beating it.
I shall make it my ultimate goal in life to master Final Fantasy!! XD

Controversy =x.x=
Not sure how you suck at an RPG, you get people, get levels, kill bosses, the end. 8 is one of those, it is the best games ever... or it is what nearly killed a franchise... or is used as a coaster.
I found the Weapons in FF7 a lot of fun... what about you? :3 To me, killing those was a lot more fun than laughing at the ease of Sephiroth.

FF8 was fun, but far too easy to abuse. Once you realise that monsters level up with you, and that you can gain new GF abilities without gaining any EXP, you just start turning everything into cards, so that all your people are level 15 with all abilities and spells to junction. At that point, it just gets stupid.
By the same token, it also makes it a bit easier to create challenges. Like, say, playing without any GFs or junctions, or only your starting three, and stuff like that. I guess it's just more flexible than other FF games with regards to its difficulty; with the rest, all you can really do is run away from enemies in order to keep your level low.
I've finished most games; I, III(j), IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X. If I got myself around to it I'd have X-2 finished as well, but I don't find that game much fun - maybe it's just me, but there's no real challenge to it. FFII is pure evil, and I hate it.
FFV is my favourite, though, because of the awesome job system. Being in the UK, we never got tactics, so I can't compare it to that, but I always thought having mage classes with unarmed fighting abilities that did more damage than my warriors was kinda funny.
